I had to have my doctor send over a referral prior to attending the seminar.

I don't watch the biggest loser. I really think that its not the the best example for individual who are faced with being overweight. I don't know many people that can hang out in a gym all day and work out instead of work. I mean think about it I don't know many people that can afford not to work for three months.. Then also to lose that a hundred pounds or even sixty pounds in three months isn't that healthy if you think about it. I love Julian. I watched her other show.. Which to me was more REAL than Biggest Loser. I really hate people who think that having the lap band is a quick and easy fix when its not. You have to fight to be successful.

I have to pay for half of my surgery my insurance only covers 50%. I have to pay 1058 prior to having surgery. I haven't even thought about the after appointments. I have to pay a specialist pay..

I attended the seminar in August 2010. I am schedule to have my first meeting with Dr. Mora on October 6 2010. I do not have to see the pyschaitrist or have the sleep study done. I am do however have to see the dietician however I can do that during work hours since I work for Public Health and we have dieticians that work here. I don't know if I have to go and see the cardiologist and pulmonary doctors. I am hoping that I don't. I do have any health problems except that I am overweight. My blood pressure and chloesterol are good including my blood sugar are all within normal ranges. I am hoping to have my surgery schedule for November 2012.

Hey Daisybasket48.. Congrats on the new journey in which you are going to be faced with. I have blue cross and Blue shield also. I have to pay 1059 for the procedure. However, I am paying for this with student loans.. Horrible I know.. but I am doing it to better myself. I haven't schedule my surgery yet. Since I havent' had my consultation with the doctors only the seminar. However it has been schedule now.. Thank goodness..

Thanks, I am waiting to see when the nutritionist wants to meet. During the seminar they mention the slimfast plan. I can eat two veggies and one meat for dinner. However things might change when I meet with the Doctor.

Well, I had attend the required seminar in August 2010. I am scheduled to meet with Dr. Mora on October 6, 2010, for my medical consultant. I already have the paperwork which is required to go ahead and speak to the nutritionsit. Thanks to the fact I work for Public Health I can use on of our registered dieticians. I am trying to plan for my preop diet. According to the paperwork I have we should start the preop diet when we see the doctor. Whats the best drinks to get?? slimfast???

Just to inform you a breast reduction is WONDERFUL!! I had one in 2008 best decision I ever made. I was an E and now a D. My mother also had it done. I was only out of work less than a week. Most insurance cover it especially if you complain about your neck, back and shoulder pain, along with the indentions you have in your shoulders. I only had to pay 125.00 for it. I would do it all over again. I had a great surgeon.. Who was always there for me when I had question. My mom went from a E to C.

I am schedule to see the doctor for the consultation on October 6 2010. I am hoping that I can have the surgery on 11/11/10.

I have been told that you lose the most you are going to lose during that time. If you remember to eat sensible you should be fine. If you begin to walk now that helps with the gas pain from surgery..

I am really excited about having the band. I have been calling an emailing my doctor's office regarding setting up the consultation after attending the seminar. I attended the seminar in August and I have my consultation in October. I am hoping to have the surgery in November however, I am not really sure thats going to happen. Thankfully, I don't have to go through all the loops some people had to go through. I don't have to have the sleep study or the visit to the psychiatrist. However, I think that I have to go the cardio and pulmonary doctors. However, I am wondering since I don't have high blood pressure or chlosterol will I have to do any of that.. Praying to working on the new me in 2011.

I am not into having anything removed or rerouted but thats just my opinion. The lap band seems to be safer in my eyes than the other ways.

I go to my consultation with my doctor on October 6, 2010. I am hoping that I can schedule my surgery in November 2010.

Hello. I am a new prospect. I am currently looking into this procedure. I am schedule to attend the seminar to meet the doctor at the end of the month. I am really excited about my journey. I currently weight 278 pounds. I am 5ft 7inches give or take who measures you. My BMI is 43. I have been overweight my whole life since puberity. I have always been active. I was in JROTC, Civil Air Patrol. So, I can't say I was a couch potatoe.. but I am now.. I am a mother to a beautiful little girl who means the world to me. I want to be here for her. I want to do things with her without being too tired or not having the injury to do anything.. I want my life back.
