I am very thankful for these boards because you find other individuals who have experienced the same thing as you.. It helps.. well, during my pulmonary i had to ge a chest xray and abg.

Well, after reviewing the calendar theres a chance I won't be able to get banded until January now.. Why do I have to hit obstacles.. I am getting soo upset.... I want to have it before I am 32 is that asking tooo much.. :mad::thumbup::sad::mad2::tt1:

I am trying to stay focused.. but at times no matter how focused you are you going to feel like a failure or everyone is out to get you.. I guess this is my point. I am a type of person that likes things to be 123 instead of 1 3 2.. I really like order. I just knoow that I am ready to get on with everything and get to where I know its going to happen.. It seems like it will never happen.. I even had all of the money up front I am also worried about spending in on stuff.. I am soo tired of being fat and overweight.. I am ready to be healthy and be a good example for my little girl. i think once I have this I will one feel better about myself..

I know but you get soo close then you hit just another bump in the road. I really didn't think that it was going to take this long.

I know but I have been trying to get banded since July 2010. My breast reduction took less time.. Its just really disappointing..

Well, I am hoping to be banded in December 2010. I was hoping to be banded in November since I started this procedure in July 2010. I did not have to do the six month weigh in with my primary care physician. I attended the informational seminary in August 2010. However, I didn't get an appointment with my surgeon until October 6, 2010. Well, after meeting him it was determine that I had to see the psychiatrist and pulmonary doctor. I actually visit the nutritionist prior to having the consultation with the doctor. My pulomary appointment is November 4. The psychiatrist is schedule for November 16. I am hoping that my insurance company can turn it around in a couple weeks.. I have to have this surgery this year. I tried to create a social groups for us December Banded but I am not for certain that it worked.. :sneaky:

I orginally wanted to be banded in November. I looks like probably December now.. I really don't care as long as its this year.. I want to start 2011 as the new me..

I have attend three support groups.. which is mandatory by my Doctor. I found it interested to know that so many people are taking their lives into their own hands.. I am so glad that I have made this decision... I am having the lap band.

I can understand about being aggervated about all the test but I really think that some of them are just to be precautious.. I think its smart for them to do it.. I had to talk to the nutrition, psychiatrist and pulomary doctor. Which my pulomary appointment is November 4. and my "crazy doctor appointment" is November16. Then my information will be submitted to the insurance board. After its approved. I guess I will meet with the doctor again to discuss surgery I am hoping.. I want it this year not next..

First of all this is the way many people learn. I really don't think that you are whining. Your questions and the best way to learn is by asking questions to people who might have or will share the same experience. I haven't been banded. I am hoping that I am able to be banded this year. I am sorry that you are having problems. However, you really should talk to you doctor about any problems you are having..

I would have it on hand prior to having your surgery so you don't have to get out right after surgery. I have to be on the preop diet for four weeks and that is so I can reduce the size of my liver. I am not required to lose weight for the surgery.

:thumbdown: I had my consultation with my doctor this am too!! Everything went well. After meeting with Dr. Mora he decided that I need to see the following doctors: I have to go to the "crazy doctor" and the pulmonary "lung"doctor.

First of all you need to find out if your insurance will cover it. You will also need to speak with your primary care doctor. I think that would be the first route. To discuss it with them and see what he or she thinks.

are you with State Employees??? I am so this is what I had to do: You might have to do a 6 months weigh in at your primary care doctor. I had to get my primary care physician to send a referral to my doctor. I don't have to do the six months. Which then Dr. Mora's office to call me and set up an appointment to attend the seminar. I paid the $100 for the seminar. I am required by my doctor to attend three support groups. I have one more to go. Once you attend the seminar you will be contact to schedule your consultation with Dr. Then you will then find out what test you will need to be done. You will have to talk to a pyschiatrist, cardiologist, pulmonary doctor, nutritionist and sleep study. I will have to pay out of pocket about 1200.00

My doctor prefers for you to wait TWO years. Howeever, as of right now I am DONE having childern. I have one and thats enough..

During my pregnancy I didn't gain any weight until I was 38 weeks pregnant. Then I gain three. Then I gained 2 pounds making my pregnany weight gain of 5 pounds. If you are overweight from the beginning they don't stress out if you lose weight. My doctor didn't.
