Soo, I waited 2 months before getting my first fill instead of the suggested 4-6 weeks..wanted to see what I could do on my own, I lost 5 pounds..Im not mad about that at all because I really had no restrictions...I started at 270lbs in March. Day of Surgery 259 and current weight 240...My goal is somewhere between 180-190...I'm tall 1 day of liquids...lets see how much I can loose during the next 6 weeks!

When I decided to get LapBand I weighed 275lbs, lost about 20 on my own, I am two weeks post op and weigh 242...4 months ago my clothes were size 22, went to try on clothes at the store yesterday, I can wear size 16:thumbup:..I promised that I would not by clothes because I'm going to be loosing epescially at the beginning....Here is the issue, I'm in a professional, that requires me to wear suite every day..ALL my suites are way to big, they are litterally hanging off me and looks like I borrowed them...I hate the thought of buying more suites when they probably will not fit after a month....and we all know suites are not cheap...what to do:confused:

smiley8 replied to Moo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm seven days out and not hungry at all...getting a lilttle worried i'm not getting in enough. I've read in another forum of two others that are on mushies already 6 days post op my diet is 1 slim fast in the morning- takes me about 30 min to drink (used to be 5/10 mintues) Jello or pudding and half can of tomatoe Soup or liquid or cream chicken soup the other half of the soup for dinner (i will try and drin about 2 16oz of Water.plain or with crystal light) Feel great though...all pain is gone!:smile2: -
Healthy111...your diet seem awesome...armywives, I totally understand...just a lil jealoous...i want to eat some mushies too!...but too afraid to go off dr orders! Is oatmeal and grits considered mushies?
-
I am amazed at how different everyone diet's orders are...I just read a post of someone is also 6 days post op and they had mushy food!!...my doc told my i can't go on mushies for two weeks...im on full liquids for two weeks!!!! why is it all so differrent its the same procedure!....don't get it:blushing:
-
wow you are 6 days post op and alreayd eating?! mushies..im six days post also, but restricted to full liquids...i can do mushy food in about a week..good luck to ya
-
Im also 6 days post op..today is probaly is the best that i ever felt, I am going to actually leave the house today and go to the grocery store and visit family..my diet has been slim fast in the morning....for lunch i may have a protein shake with jello..dinner would be some form of liquid/cream soup and and maybe a pudding..im barely getting in 600 calories..but i don't feel hungry at all..i drink water or crystal light through the day....had a serious craving for pizza yesterday..watch so many pizza commercials it drove me crazy!!!...i had tomatoes soup for dinner, it actually satisfied my craving!....best of luck to you
-
congrats...ive been banded 5 days and realized that if I loose 60lbs i will be at my goal weight!!...forcing myself to take down these liquid foods...not hungry at all, not even for liquids and no i have to have them to stay hydrated
-
wow...you eat mush foods only 5 days afterwards...im 5 days post op too...however I am suppose to do full liquid for two then puree aftewards...however i don't have the appetitie for anything, Im forcing myself to take in shakes, yogurts and and cream soups...just not hungry at all...good luck, sorry to hear about the chest pains, I have not had that problem
-
Today, I feel really good. yesterday was a bit of struggle with the gas, but lots of walking and warm broth soup did the job!...I have no appetitite and worried I won'te be able to take in enough protein, just don't have the appetite to drink thick drinks..I have been drinking water even added Kellogs protein water mix to help...well, it has 5 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber...therefore causing my first BM only 3 days post op...not sure if that is bad or good...i hope my appetitite increases some to want to drink protein shakes...its not that i can't tolerate them, i goes down easily!...i just keep on pushing along!!!
-
Day three for me...yesterday I had really bad gas pains in the stomach...but i walked and walked and now they are gone...i have not appetite not even to drink a protein shake, but im forcing myselft too...good luck!
