    exercise and extra skin

Hi I am new to the board and the LAP-BAND® surgery, I have been reading alot of this board for information on what I can expect or not to expect from this surgery, one thing I haven't seen much talk if any is after the weight loss looks, I currently weigh 297 my BMI IS 41 and my target weight goal is 175 weight loss of 122lbs if the exercise and eating right goes as planned how much skin could one ecpect to have drooping in the end has anyone lost this much to have a abundance of drooping skin and if so what would you do to help this? thanks for your feedback in advance.
  2. as I get ready for the surgery I have many questions, after the surgery, say six months, how noticable is the fill port? will I be able to go shirt less with out everyone asking what the hell is that and will I will I still be able to swim with out getting it infected? I hear the only dumb question is the one you didn't ask anyone.
  3. I am just starting the recomended weight loss supervised, during this six months I want to do as much core exercising (abs) as I can to hopefully help in the extra skin in the end, my question I guess is when they do the surgery do they have to cut through the stomach muscle, and will recovery be worse if I build some muscle mass in this area before surgery? am having the LAP-BAND® guess I am a little scared to ask the doctor fearing it may sway my decission any help would be great:cursing:
