    Melbourne Chat Thread!!!!

bjf Don't worry, very normal. I had three weeks off ( i am a sook) I tried to bend to pick up washing in week 2 and couldn't so I rang the doctor and told the nurse that "it felt like someone had stabbed me in the stomach" She laughed and said " yes someone did and to take it easy, rest untill I felt better." Pray you don't have to sneeze If you still have concerns ring your surgeon Good luck with the band I have never regretted
  3. mellphat That does sound confusing. My doctor explained it all to me before I started. In the end I was out of pocket $3,000.00(which was mainly the anaesthetist). I had Medicare pay first then they sent the reciepts to my health fund, then I paid the difference. Your hospital stay should only be your health fund excess. Good Luck

    Australian Bandsters Chat Thread

Hi Ange123 My children are 12 & 7 and I have been banded for one year now. The kids have been great. I just told them that I was having an operation to loss my weight.(they have seen me diet on and off since they were born). They even laugh at me when I have to PB.

    rinsing out pouch

I had the same problem. My Dr suggested "waking up your stomach" with either cold apple juice or a hot peppermint tea. Seemed to work better than soda water as that made me burp for hours
