I just got banded and wanted to know if there was others in my area?

Thank goodness i am not alone I was banded on 9-21 and I am on the full liquids and I was told it is higher cal foods but when stepped on the scale and gained 2 lbs I was so bummed. I was not going to ask my doc if it was normal just in case it is not and have him think i was eatting the wrong things witch i have not been.

This is only my story I am 5 days out was banded on 9-21 and I just got back from a 2 mile walk. get tired a bit but could go back to work if i wanted to with no trouble and it is not a desk job. So I would have no trouble going to court and all. Mary

I was banded on 9-21 so sore right now had no idea it would hurt this bad. I really wish i could get this gas pain to go away. I think i will know this is worth it when i see the weight loss. one of my incisions i think is real big will have to ask my doc about that. I know this stage will pass and all will be well. Oh my goodness I just got a call from my Dr. and my surgry has been moved up to TOMORROW at 6 am so my band date is now Sept 21 I am really excited now.:thumbup:

I got my date i am doing the liquid diet now SHOOT ME please. Mary

I go tomorrow for the pre-op testing and monday for the last visit with Dr. Hall then surgery on 9-22 i am starting to really get excited and a bit scared. I got called today that it was a go and I need to have this done ASAP.

Dont feel bad pick up and get back on the road to a better life, we all have days when this will happen and you know what the docs know we are not perfect. Mary

Ok i called a friend that just had this done and she said to do the shakes with low fat milk and not Water ( i was using water) I did and they are better. is there low fat ice cream LOL just kidding i am felling better today. I was so down yesterday. Mary

The doc lied said the shakes would help with the hunger, i have never been this hungry on any diet i have been on. Mary:mad2:

help i started my liquid diet and i am not sure i can do this for one week.

I have my band on 9-22 and today if the official day of start the pre-op diet. Just had my shake for Breakfast. I have been doing 2 shakes and a healthy supper for 4 days and lost doing that ( had to lose 10 more lbs before surgery). this is going to be hard as my husband is eating real food and I cant but i have a goal and I will make it. No one said diets where easy and i know I will have a better life for this. Mary

Yes the doc told me to lose 10lbs to reduce the fat on the liver i have now 6 1/2 more to go the Protein shakes and liquids will help me on that. Mary

I am documenting everything from weight, BMI to measurements. I saw that a few lost a shoe size :thumbup: i can then buy cute shoes to go with my new body. Mary

I start my diet tomorrow Protein shakes 3 times a day can have sugar free Jello and ice pops, chicken broth and 64 oz of Water everyday. I have to lose 8 more lbs. My delay was i could not get this done till Insurance would cover it. I had it all ready to go and got transferred to another dept with in the same company but the insurance was different ( If i had known I would have passed that up ) So I was back to square one again and found out in late july it was now covered :thumbup:So i got one the phone and called the doc he got me in and the slight delay now was I broke my arm and the doc could not believe my insurance was not asking for all kinds of stuff.

I have my date of Sept. 22 2010 in Lubbock Tx. I am so excited I cant wait to get this done been trying for 5 years.

I have my first consult on Monday the 9th. I have had my PCP recommend the lap band after 6 months on a diet and no change. I have a bad back and knees and they will not touch me till I lose at least 70 LBs. I am at 255 BMI of 45. The lady i was working with at the Dr. Office said she saw no trouble. MY question is from the first consult was you time line till surgery? Mary HOPEFUL FOR SURGERY!!!!

why would they want you to lose weight before the surgery if I could do it on my own I would not require the lap-band?
