Like everyone I've been on every diet imaginable. I loose the weight and always gain it back and a little extra. I've been fighting my weight since my teen years. It's been a constant battle. I've never been happy with my body. I have lost the same 40 pounds, 20 times. Each time I lost the weight a little extra weight crept on.  I also am a caregiver for my 25 yr old adult daughter who is disabled.  Being a caregiver involves giving up most of your own needs to care for another. Which has left me no time or energy to put into myself.  The most exersise I get and alone time is 30 a night walking my dogs. I do wonder about the recovery time after surgery and how I will deal with lifting of her and caring for her at the same time. I have been married to my husband for 20 yrs. We meet when I was having a "down time" in my weight. I was 65 pounds lighter then I am now. He is very nice about it. He's never said anything about it.  He loves me no matter what but he knows I'm not happy and not comfortable with myself. He tries but he doesn't understand what I go though. He is skinny guy that can eat anything and never gain any weight. People like that just don't understand.  I also have a 13 yr old son that want to have better eating habits then I grew up with. I have been very honest with him about my weight battle and how important it is to love yourself . I've been thinking about lap band for a while now. The only thing holding me back is my insurance. It isn't covered. So I'll have to get some kind of a loan. My husband doesn't know I going to do it yet.  But he'll be fine with it as soon as we can afford it financially.  I have a couple bills to pay offs so I'm hoping to be ready by Feb '11 . I pay the bills so I know exactly what goes in and out :)
