  1. I was sleeved on May 22 with no problem. I was discharged on the 23rd. On my second day home my mom noticed a rash on my face-not itchy. Today, I noticed the rash has spread onto my entire face, neck, shoulders and chest. It is still not itchy. Has anyone experienced this?

    May 2018 losers bench

I was sleeved on May 22. I am now eating soft proteins only. Once l started eating I stopped loosing weight. I am having a difficult time eating because I am not hungry. I haven’t had a problem with 1 oz of tuna with Greek yogurt, 1 scrambled egg with cheese and bacon, or a grilled chicken nuggets. It takes 30 minutes to eat and I am full but no overly so. I drink a protein shake in the morning. Has anyone noticed a stall when going to a the next stage? I’ve only lost 18lbs since surgery and 31lbs since starting this journey. I am 23lbs from my first GW.

GALS who started their journey over 300 lb+<br /> +

Hi everyone! I started at 332-336lbs before preop. I lost 20+lbs before the preop diet actually gained weight with the preop diet. At the time of surgery I weighted 311 or 314. Anesthesia memory! I was sleeved on May 22. I now weigh 295.2 lbs. my lowest weight drop has been .2 lb but hey it’s still a drop. My energy level is still in the toilet. I had a revision from the band to the sleeve. I lost weight fast with the band at the beginning but having the band slowed my metabolism incredibly low. I am working with a doctor to speed it up and not let the sleeve to the same thing. Most of my co workers noticed my 20+lbs weight loss. My mom who lives in another state did not. I have also had people comment about my weight loss since the surgery. I am smaller at the top and large at the bottom and when I lose weight it always starts at the top. Good luck everyone!!!!

Developed a rash after being sleeved

Thanks for your support. It is contact dermatitis at t the steristrip sites. The rash is a reaction to something. Due to the distribution she feels it is a drug reaction. I received so much during surgery. The only new drug I now take daily is protonix. So for now I am off that. No clear diagnosis or cure. Take Benadryl-which sucks I just woke up from surgery. It took me 3 days post surgey to full wake up. She says I can try Zyrtec and use the shower to help the stripes to come off. No I am afraid of heartburn.

Developed a rash after being sleeved

I called the surgeon on call yesterday (due to the holiday). It was not my surgeon. He mad it sound like it was no big deal just take some Benadryl. It maybe an allergic reaction to Pepcid. Call tomorrow if it still worries me and get in with my surgeon. I now have large itchy bumps at the top the steristrips on two of the incisions. I am headed to PCP, now. Thanks for your help

    Any MAY sleevers???

What about protein02. It is protein infused water. Not bad tasting if cold. It has 15g of protein. It will help you get water and protein down.

May 23rd surgery date. Waking up?

My surgery is also on May 22. I had my pre- surgical appointment at the hospital today. Discovered the consent was for gastric bypass and not for gastric sleeve. I called the bariatric coordinator. She did not look at the consent I signed in the office. She only looked at the office note and saw the physician talked to me about the gastric bypass surgery. Unfortunately she did not get insurance approval for the gastric sleeve surgery. The approval is for gastric bypass. So now I am waiting for approval again [emoji29]

  15. Things are going okay. I nevere realized how mych of our relationship was tied into eating. Until recently he had not said much about my weight loss. He said that i had lost a lot of weight. I asked if he was ok with that. He said it was okay as long as I didnt get too small. I told him, I had gained 6lbs and he said good. I was asked why because he said I wasnt eating well and I was losing too fast. He has proven to be more solid than my so-called best friend. Its going to take some time with my boyfriend. Thanks for asking.

  16. I am still pre op but I do wonder if my ankles, feet, and legs will stop swelling. I can put on 10lbs during the day from swelling. I have to buy extra extra wide shoes to accommadate the swelling. I hope I will have ankles again.:cursing:
  17. Thanks! I went to see the nutritionist yesterday. I will start my diet on the Aug 31st. The diet appears more liberal than yours. I will be drinking a high protein shake for breakfast and for 2 snacks throughout the day. For lunch and dinner I can have 3 ounces of protein, 2 cups of salad greens (no iceberg lettece), 1/2 cup of nonstarch vegetables and low fat or nonfat salad dressing 2 tbsps. I can also have water, jello, noncaloric beverages. Even with all the restrictions, I am still very excited. I hope by day 9 I still sound as excited as you. Good luck on your surgery as well. Keep in touch.

  18. Congratulations on your surgery date. My date is September 14. I am excited and scared. Whart are you doing to get ready for surgery?

    I got a surgery date!

Congratulations and Good luck on your approval. My surgical date is also September 14. I was approved about 2 months ago but my surgeon was booked up until then. I won't do my second surgical consult with the doctor or the get the presurgical diet from the nutritionist until the last week in August. I hope you keep in touch.
  21. :unsure:Thanks for your encouragment. After reading your email, I have to admit I was very worried about my relationship. I followed your advice and spoke again with my boyfriend. We will try to keep the lines communications open. I find as the date gets closer I am talking more about my hopes and dreams. Something that is unheard of for me. I am already changing.

use to be on here as "2flyguys"

I am pre lap band surgery. I asked my boyfriend for support when I decided to take this step in my life. He stated he was afraid I would change. That the attention who overwhelm and change me. I believed that my outside did not shape my inside, but your letter sounds exactly like what he said. No one ever talks about the bad changes you could experience and not being ready for the different light in which the world will view you. I hope that things are going well for you now. I hope there is someone in your life who can help keep you grounded and enjoy all the your blessings. I hope, I am able to keep in contact with you. Maybe you helping to keep someone else grounded will help you continue to heal.
