Just wanted yall to know I appreciate your imput and reply. I am very sincere when I say this. I have belonged to a disablity forum online now for about 8 years with folks having all sorts of disabilites. But I had to get in with some folks that have been thru this sort of deal.
My biggest fear is, How will I change my eating habits. I know I will be forced to do this once banded...giving up soda, sweets, etc...
The first seminar I went to pretty much told me what I'd have to give up the rest of my life, which are things that I am certain are not good for me anyway.
I figure I will have to take up something else instead of eating for comfort at times as I have been known to do.
Again, thanks for the replies and I intend on reading all that I can.
2 years ago I had to have bilateral knee replacements due to a car accident I had 27 years ago and that went splendid. Of course I was given the option of a wheel chair or the surgery and well, I just couldn't imagine spending the rest of my life in a wheel chair.
The same with this surgery. I have highblood pressure, terrible arthritis, face hands, hips, ankles, my BMI is about 46 or 48 depending on which chart you look at it,you name it...and I am praying that by doing this "change of life" surgery I can get off a lot of medication I have had to take.
Sincerely, Jackie
