Wondering if my fill is too tight but willing to wait
parker62 replied to honestitriedtofindaname's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Wait a little bit more and best of luck on your journey. -
My band is empty, gained all my weight back. Had to empty my band due to food poisoning. Honestly did not do so well from the beginning. My elementary tract was tight but my stomach pouch was leaking out the food fast. In other words the opening between the pouch and the rest of my stomach remained wide and my esopagus was tight.

Hey Jamaican Diva r u yardie im fin Florida 7 months post op keep in touch please. -
I had my band on 3/8/2011. My surgeon believes in small fills. Each time i went to get filled apart from the initial 4cc he only gave me .4cc. i had to fight not to eat evertything. My weightloss stopped and i even gained seven pounds back , i continued to get filled and did the best i could. My last .4cc was on 10/24/2011 and Bingo im up to 7cc in my 11.5cc band and i thought this day would never come i am now feeling full with the i cup of food and its lasting me 3hrs or more. Thank God. i will post my weightloss next time i get weighed. It seems like small fills did the job for me. Im glad i stuck with it. Hang on in there everyone and god bless you.

Diabetes injection - port
parker62 replied to Rob Roy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You will not be able to hit your port with an inulin syringe. Your port is sutured in your muscles and this is way too far to get to with the insulin needle. In addition the insulin needle is too thin not sturdy enough. Good luck on your journey. -
I know that feeling quite well it happened to me 2 weeks ago twice. Since then i promise god and myself i will never ever let it happen again. This feeling is too horrible and everytime i place something in my mouth i remember the experience and i chew chew chew.

I was at the doctors office today for a fill, after four tries the ARNP could not access my port. I will have to go back on Wednesday 7/13/2011 to see my surgeon so he could take a look at it. Im still upbeat and in excellent spirits. Love my band. Hopefully this will all be resolved. Stay blessed everyone.

Thanks for your post. I have gained a lot of information. My band only helps me to accomplish my weight loss goals. There is a lot i have to do on my own, like watching what i place in my mouth and Walk daily. I also limit my carbs and calories. I did all of that before i had the band and lost weight. So what difference has my band made? " I have stayed on tract the longest i can remember. Thanks again and all the best.

Best of luck to you. Please take your pain meds after surgery , keep on your clear liquids, walk around to help with the gas and you will be just fine. I'm doing well, had my surgery on 3\8\2011 more than 30lbs down. I'm walking now, 3 miles per day and feeling much better. Take care of your self and god bless. Check in with you tomorrow.

Well here is my take. I had my surgery on March 8, 2011. So far i have lost 32 lbs. There are a few times when the scale did not move and onetime i gained 3lbs. What i have noticed is that for me to lose weight i have to first eat 3hrs apart. No food in between, and finally i have to walk. One would say then why did you have the Lapband and my response would be for anyone to think that just placing a band and do nothing is going to amount to weightloss they could forget it. The band however has helped me to limit my intake and the rest is up to me. I will continue to research and more than all walk walk walk. I love my band and have no regrets. Hope this will help. Best of luck to all.

feeling ill, help needed
parker62 replied to Debbiebur1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had lap band on May 26th and immediately felt great. Well day 4 and I am nauseous and running to the bathroom every 10-15 minutes. I am still on a liquid diet and feel like there is nothing I can do. I am more than a little panicked. I left a message for the doctor by with the holiday I am not getting any response. I could use any advice I can get. I have read on some forums that diarria is very common with Lap band and I am starting to wonder if I have made the right decision. Help. Hang on my dear, i felt like my whole world had caved in on Day 4. Believe me it will get better. You made the right choice and you will find that out pretty soon, Best of luck. -
Im not sure what this could be. Call your doctors office and talk with the experts. Hope this helps.
