    I was told that I may not lose any weight after surgery, and may even gain weight until my first fill at the 6 week mark. I lost 15 lbs by the 1st week post op and nothing since. Going into my third week and now am able to eat almost normally but am trying to have mostly liquids and protein. The stall is depressing but only 3 more weeks until my first fill.

    I had my surgery on a Tuesday afternoon and planned to go back to work Monday, but didn't feel up to it. I would take 1 week off and see how you feel. I went back the following Tuesday and the first day was long but the 2nd day was fine.

    My gas pains lasted about 6-7 days but still have the shoulder pain. Took 5 days to have a BM - I started drinking prune juice to help.

    I'm in the same boat...no shoulder pain for first few days and I'm now 8 days post op and still having shoulder pain, worse than before. I wonder how long this will last?
