Hi, How are you doing with gas? I was banded on the 1st and that has been my problem. I am walking 1/2 mile twice a day. It helps but I need something more. Tony

Congrats!! I was banded on the 1st. I only had 1 week on the pre-op and have lost 18lbs in two weeks. It was not hard at all to be on clear liquids; the problem is the gas:( it has been very uncomfortable. I had alot of pain on my left shoulder and the doctor said to walk,walk,walk. I did and by the third day it was gone. I feel ok now that I am on the second week and on full liquids. I hope for the best and remember to walk. Good luck, Tony

Hi, I had my first visit on 07/13/11; sleep study, endoscopy, first nutritional consult and ultrasoud on 07/30/2010. My 6 month waiting period was over on 01/14/11and the office sent my file to the insurance on 01/21/11 and received an approval on 01/22/11. I am scheduled for surgery on02/01. I was only requiered one week of protein shakes with a light meal. I am nervous and excited!!! -
It's going well! I sent an email 09/01 and it was replied on 09/07 that my file was being sent to the Dr's for signature and then off to the insurance, he said about 2-4 more weeks!! He said that everything else was done. It really got me frustrated though, 2-4 more weeks?!? Goodness!!! Same here, can't wait to get it done! Let me know on your progress!!!

Hello everyone, Does anyone have Cigna PPO? I am going through the process of the approval right now. I read that I could bypass the 6 month wait because of my medical problems. I have had all the pre-op test done. I am ready for the Band. Has anyone had any expirience with CIGNA?

I have CIGNA PPO. Has anyone been approved before the 6 month perdiod? I have high blood pressure and sleep apnea. I read on the insurance website that my doctor can apply waiving the time frame because of the medical problems. I do not want to wait any more time; I am ready for this.
