  3. My surgeon said 6 to 8 weeks after all my pre op tests were completed, but it ended up to be 4 weeks after my last hoop. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

    Water bottle

Zojirushi 16 ounces. I love love love that thing. It keeps Water ice cold or hot for more than 24 hrs, it's adorable hehe and it fits in all cup holders. For a huge one, for longer trips, I bring my 64 oz Hydroflask growler. I use it to refill my zojirushi. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  5. I had my lap band for 7 years and felt similar to you. I wrote about it in blog here just recently if you'd like to read it. I was mortified of having it unfilled and removed at first because it served me so well. I had my revision on Sept. 2, 2016. I was worried about the slower weight loss too but I am delighted with the speed I'm losing, especially because although I had gained some back due to being unfilled, I was still down the majority of my weight loss from my lap band. Think of it this way, if one eats 800 calories, and exercise a bit, they are going to lose weight, no way around that . I've lost six lbs a week in my first two weeks, total of 12 lbs. Sending you a *hug*. Hang in there and listen to your doctor. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  6. I was so adamant about not being able to sleep with people watching that they okayed an at home study. I picked up the gear, and returned it the next day. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  7. I was able to drink Water, Protein shakes with no issues from day 3. No pain, no gas, no restriction, nothing. 64 oz of water was & still is easy plus my Protein Shakes. When I asked my nurse if this was normal, I was told that is the way it's supposed to be, and that liquid will go right through, even pureed foods to some extent, and that the restriction will come at the soft and solid stage, and at that point, if one overeats, they will feel absolutely miserable.
  8. I was put on a 3 week liquid pre-op diet with no weight loss requirement. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  9. After the warnings of everyone is different, I was fine working from home on the 4th day. The 2nd I slept, and 3rd day, still kind of groggy. I was outpatient and went home the same day, the afternoon of my surgery...

    Eating or Drinking Your Nutrients?

Had the lap band for 7 years (successfully) and during that time my Breakfast was always liquid (I was always a little tighter in the mornings). I would put all my fruits & veggies in glass of homemade milk kefir with a scoop of unflavored Protein powder. lunch was also liquid, usually a big bowl of healthy Soup with lots of veggies, and it wasn't till dinner that I ate true solids. My favorite protein was always fish (usually sashimi), with ~1/4 c rice and medium salad. I ate a balanced diet. Just recently I had a sleeve revision so I will have to see how my diet changes as I am on the full liquid stage with Soups (14 days post). I'm content at this stage because as I noted above, I love soups .

    Sushi after surgery?

I'm only 12 days post op, and was wondering for those of you who normally eat sashimi... How many pieces do you usually eat for a meal? Thanks!

    Pickles

I was told that pickles are okay, in my soft stage that is coming up (as long as blenderized) to add flavor to my egg salad..etc.
  16. Is foamies like sliming but you make foam as well? That's my guess and it sounds miserable... Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  17. I got the nutribullet 12- piece recently. It makes it a bit airy so I'm still trying to figure it out lol. I have been using my immersion blender for years though. I love it. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  18. It may be Water weight since 1200 calories wouldn't cause weight gain. Also, have you had a blood test lately... To check your thyroid...Etc? Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

    Genepro powder

Been using it a long time. Love the stuff. It goes in hot and cold but if you add boiling liquid... It may clump up a little bit. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  20. I got that all the time with my band, not yet with my sleeve... But when I slimed, first the food would get somewhat stuck in my throat, and then my body would produce tons of clear mucus to try to push it out. It was gross... Is this the way it is for sleevers too? Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

  22. I had lots of Water gain in the beginning due to the IV fluids, it finally all dropped off in the past few days. I went in for my first post op, and I lost an additional 11 lbs. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

    Smoking

If one vapes, at two weeks before the nicotine test, switched to zero nicotine vaping. Both pg and vg are not toxic, and is in all our food and beauty products. If you smoke, you must quit since cigarettes have 3000+ toxic chemicals which may affect your surgery. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  24. hehehehe. I'm Asian so unfortunately I can eat really fast with them. /cry
  25. Been using it for since it's release (lapband since 2009). I rarely ate any meat due to issues being too tight, and I got stuck a lot (just recently had a band to sleeve revision). Blood test taken 8/24/16, Results for my protein were perfect.: My albumin lvl was 4.4 gm/dL (reference range is 3.5-5.2) and my Protein total was 7.7 gm/dL (reference range 6.4-8.3).
