Well for some reason I keep trying to send you a message and it keeps getting stuck. Just checking to see how things are going we had the same doc and I am a little over a year out!

my stomach is making some crazy noises!
Knaroz replied to Losing_It150's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yeah just wait it never goes away and is always loudest when it is quiet. Mine if I drink too fast you can actually hear the Water go down like your are pouring it through a funnel, which in essence you are. I do not know if it is the narrow opening caused by the band that makes the normal stomach sounds reverb or whatnot but i just refer to it as my little monster and keep on trucking Good luck!! -
Lost 166 in a year but I really worked the band hard lol
-
i found a bunch on EBAY they shipped from India or Hong Kong was like 5$ a piece and they work well. I also just watch the clearence section of athletic stores found a lot of Nike Combat ones for 4.99 one day. I havent honestly found one I dont like or doesnt fit but every company has a different size chart so before you buy a ton of a new brand buy one and try it out.

they work great. I have many that I wear its a must with all the loose skin lol.

Just hit week 8 this week. 28 min of straight running. I laugh when I think about how it took me 3 weeks to do Week 1 Day 1 and complete it and where I am now.
-
Did mine in July she had hers in Sept. I think things have gone well. Good luck!

Honestly depending on the stretch marks you have across your stomach and in the cutting areas you will notice those more than the scares. I am pretty hairy which i hate but it does cover everything, but even if it didnt the old stretch marks are more noticeable than the surgery scars. Good luck@

Did your doctor put fluid in the band at the time of your procedure?
Knaroz replied to faz1988's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Our surgeon puts only enough in to PRIME it to make sure there is no leaks etc. MIne went off fine no issues, my wife on the other hand had to have even the priming fluid removed because it was causing her to be too tight. I think it truely is each case is different. Good luck! -
Congratz!! Yeah I have had to change my goal weight twice now. That is not a change I mind doing lol

Can someone tell me WHEN i will be able to drink a reasonable amount of liquid
Knaroz replied to ButterflyM's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Usually the 1oz rule is for the first week following surgery just to make you take it easy on your swollen stomach. Starting with the second week you should be fine as long as you dont gulp and try not to use straws for as long as you can as they introduce air as you drink and compound the gassy problem. Good luck! -
What do you season your food with
Knaroz replied to Sharon1222's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I hope not I loves me some garlic powder lol. I wonder if it is just one of those "gray" area items that some people are sensitive to maybe? -
holy crap... I am going under the knife! Again!
Knaroz replied to evobuilder's topic in The Guys’ Room
Good luck! I will be needing one of those too as well but I think my insurance will cover it if I wait 2 more years (have to be at least 3 years post op). Let us know how it turns out! -
Toast? Are you crazy lol. Especially after a fill, I cant even eat toast and I am like 2 months since my last fill . As long as you can get plain water down you are not too tight. You might still be a little swollen from the fill just take it easy have soup or mushies today and try to stay away from the breads!

how long were you in the hospital? out of work?
Knaroz replied to Sabrina140's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
For me was same day surgery, went in like 5AM was out of surgery by like 8AM but got stuck in recovery til almost 3PM due to my bladder apparently didnt want to wake up from anes and they would not let me leave til I peed . I work at a desk and took a week off and was back at it 100% no soreness. If you do a lot of lifting or bending over I would take off as long as possible 2-4 weeks. -
Every doc is different, just like every band is different. The Dr may only be putting in small amounts of fluid each time, which to me is safer than going from eatting anything to eatting soup, all your are gonna do is get stuck and be miserable

Cold drinks will be the bane of your existance Mornings especially it is very painful for me I usually drink decaf coffee or caffine free teas. I can usually drink colder stuff later in the afternoon and in the evening but if drank too quick they hurt really bad and sometimes actually come back up. You have to remember your stomach is a muscle and with any muscle when something cold touches it, it likes to constrict

Great job!!!!!!!!!!!

port question....stupid maybe?
Knaroz replied to slm2007's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Could have popped a stitch holding the port to your ab. Could have just pulled a muscle and feeling it more since the port is attached to it. I would definitely bring it up before they do the fill in case it has flipped. -
The only one I can even think of possibly happening is depending on how well the DR stitched your port to your ab muscles if you do a lot of crunches or something it might cause it to flip but I would think that would be a rather rare issue and you would have to do an insane amount.

Well my wife and I both have the band, so we usually split a single entree and even then sometimes there are leftovers . But when my little brother comes along he cleans up lol. -
Any Regrets after Lap Band Surgery ?
Knaroz replied to SumthinsGottaGive's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Gonna have to jump in the boat with not doing it sooner. Wish I had felt like this when I was 18 -
I would definitely schedule a barium swallow test with fluro with your doc. Slippage/Dilation takes on the form of Reflux or heartburn and the earlier it is caught the easier it is to fix.
