  5. Hi , Tommorow is My day for surgery, I'm quite nervous but also looking forward to it. Not quite sure what to expect as I know everyone reacts differently. I came accross this board looking for some support looks like you are a friendly bunch. This procedure is only available since May in Ireland so not a lot out there at the moment for support. But the surgeon is from France and is very experienced so that at least is good news . Looking forward to getting to know you all as I start my journey.:rolleyes

    Hello From Scotland

Hi Yvonne Congrats I was banded on Tuesdy 28th as well I was advised soft diet for 2 weeks But that was to include soups yogurts cornflakes with milk cereal rice Noodles scrambled egg Mashed potatoe soft veg minced meat stews ect eat small amounts stop when feeling full not stuffed mouth chew everything slow and take time before swallowing no drinks 30 mins before meals and 1-2 hr after. Hope that helps 3 months on liquid diet sounds extreme and 800 cals a day very low don't know if i could sustain that . Did you havGood luck to you I wish you every sucess keep in touch Im living in ireland not too far away.

    mel's road to happiness

Hi Mel I got banded Tuesday - Know what you mean about the pain hope it all settles down for you .I wish you much success on your journey and look forward to hearing about your progress congrats on loss so far.
  16. I think a good way of remembering PB is "PAYBACK" as a newly banded member I haven't yet experienced but i think i came close today by eating too fast ....Old habits hard to break That golfball sounds familiar although nothing came back but believe me that was close enough to not wanting to have my band Payback in future....
  17. Hi Bandina I too was banded on Tuesday 28th November. The pain was horrendous but Im feeling so much better today and Having lost 6 lbs since tuesday I feel it was worth the pain. Hope things have turned around for you Lorraine

Terrilen that thing I said is just the irish for "thank you very much". I wouldn't like you to stress for too long. As for the Ticker i figured it out I think you just redo it when you change info?Maybe there is an easier way. Im Living in Westmeath approx 60 miles from Dublin. traffic depending 1 hr15 mins to airport. Do you chat in the chat rooms I think I would like that as it is so instant. maybe we could link up there sometime. where are u from? what is your current loss if your ticker is wrong. Talk soon
