Pain Left Side Under Top Of Rib Cage......

I was banded a year ago and recently I've had this dull pain on my left side top of my rib cage? Anyone experience this? Could this just be gas.....I know no one wants to talk about that...but it is what it is -

Ok..so last night I had bad heart burn, this morning every-time I shallow I have a sharp pain in my throat that leads down my upper back right between my shoulder blades?????? Anyone ever have this feeling? I know I'm not sick, it's not the type of common sore throat pain. Any help please, I hate to bother my Doctor on his off time
