I have been wanting surgery for many, many years but due to insurance issues it did not happen. we finally got new insurance at work and the first thing I check on was my surgery and it was covered!!! So it took a little over a year from that time till I was on the table. I had to do a 6 month diet with my PCP have several test done and was finally scheduled to see the doctor who would be doing the surgery. I saw him several years ago when I was looking into this and really liked him so I knew who I wanted. So March 3, 2010 was my day!!!! I have done ok since, I have had 3 fills to date with a total of 4.00cc's in my 10cc band, I have had no issues and have very little restriction with the fills that I have had, so still waiting on that to happen, they are going very slow with my fills so I do not get over filled, but I would like to be able to tell some difference after each appointment. I have lost about 30 pounds it depends on what scale you get on, I do feel better but have issues on making the right food choices, its HARD!!! but I take each day as they come and each day is a new day and go from there
