I have severe arthritis in my knees and will need knee replacement in my right knee if I don't lose weight. I am only 48 years old and cannot tolerate the limitations that my weight has caused me. I am a Registered Nurse and I have given alot of thought regarding sugery as an option. I met with my primary care physican and orthopedic surgeon and we all agreed that lapband may be a tool to assist me with long term weight management. I have lost and gained the same forty pounds over and over again. I can lose weight . However, I just cannot seem to keep it off. Seven months ago I started meeting with a dietitian and began my weight loss journey. Well, I had my lapband surgery three days ago and I am so excited. Hopefullly, I can meet others to chat with and share my journey.
