My name is Ryan and I'm 22yrs old. I've been overweight for almost my entire life. When I was younger I was always the heavy kid everyone picked on. Throughout my childhood I always had my father yelling at me, telling me to stop eating to be healthy. Back then, all I wanted was some good food. Growing up in high school is when I became comfortable with who I'am. After graduating HS, I started gaining more weight from not being involved with football, or other school activities that kept me busy. It was then I was diagnosed with Hypertension. I was put on a monitored diet, which I lost around 30 pounds and I still had Hypertension. After all that I was told it ran in my family. With being overweight and having high blood pressure I know my life span has almost been cut in half from what a local doctor had said. It was then when I decided to look into lapband to have a life changing event. I called my insurance in November of 2009 to get the information for having surgery. I was put on my monitored 6-month post surgery diet. I was called yesterday July 23rd to be informed that I was approved for my surgery and should be setup for August 17th. I will post plenty of videos/pictures of my progress.
