  1. Hi, I thought overall it was well done but I agree with Julie about the exercise and diet but without those4 two I can see why he said weigh lose stopped around six months out. I also wish they had spent more time with the ladies in their support group. I am also glad I didn't see the surgery before surgery I could not believe how big the fundus was(G) I also liked what the doctor had to say about patients needing this and not having the option through our insurance. 3. Hi all, The title saids it all the stall is finally over! I lost the first 25 quickly the first five weeks then spent the last three weeks bouncing up and then down 2-3 pounds! Finally this week I dropped another five!!!! I so hope I can lose another 20 so I'll be an unbelievable 150 for Christmas. Nancy

    Purging after surgery

Hi, This is very scary you could cause permanent damage you could even die. Your stomach hasn't even healed yet. I am with Tiff you need some help.
  6. KKB, I am so glad to read that you are doing better. I'll be praying that you get the tubes out and okay for fluids on Tuesday.

OUCH- This was on my friend's Facebook.... RANT!

That is just rude and insensitive and ugly. Little Steve they call him "fatty" on the caption.
  8. That's Quincy and he is a real charmer that found his way to my front door early this year and it was a good thing that he is a charmer because he had to help me convince my husband that 5 cats really isn't too many!

  9. Oh my look at your beautiful self! 180...that is marvelous!

  10. Hi, I am almost 9 weeks out and I can not stop myself from weighing daily well twice daily it is so sick and the worse part is some days I get down because I didn't drop 5 lbs while I was sleeping! Nancy

New here from Simi Valley CA

Hi, I have Kaiser and my BMI was high 36s and despite having high blood pressure, high cholesterol, joint/arthritis issues, and the beginnings of carpal tunnel and they rejected me so I had to go self pay. I'd do the sleep study just to show them you are willing to jump through their hoops they do seem to like us doing that. Good luck Nancy
  14. Thanks. It is so silly of me to worry about the stalls I exercise, I am eating below 1000 calories a day and even if the scale isn't moving I can still tell parts of shrinking. I am just so scared that I wasted all this money I was self paid and that I will be disappoint. So silly. Nancy

    low bmi and considering sleeve

Hi, I don't think you will be able to get it covered by insurance with a BMI of 26 my goal BTW is a 26 BM so you will have to be self paid. I also think you will have a hard time finding a doctor to do a sleeve maybe a lap band but a sleeve, doubtful this is considered a last resort. Nancy

    Hubster jumped ship...

Hi, I am sorry you have to go through this. I think you should have him read some of the posts here on the forum. I have gone pout to dinner a few times since my sleeve (we have for years gone out every Saturday night with another couple). I may be eating only a small percentage that everyone else does it takes me just as long to eat it so it isn't awkward at all. Sometimes DH and I share sometimes we don't and I bring home a lot of leftovers sometimes the others pick at my leftovers it is all good. Eating at home is actually easier I might take a bite or two of what I cooked DH or I'll make up something else for me since what I eat is smaller it really isn't like I cook two different dinners. I'd also appeal to your husband greedy side (as Dr Phil would say) and ask him if he won't want to make love to a skinny sexy wife(G) And if that doesn't work tell him how much $$$$ he will save on food bills. Nancy
  17. Hi, I agree John Goodman looks great and it really doesn't matter how he did what matters is that he did. I have been on a strenuous exercise routine for 30 years now I walk 2 hours a day 5 days a week with 7 serious hills) I think if you added up all the days I missed in those years they would not even make five years and before surgery all that walking did was to slow down weight gain to a crawl. I also spent most of that time on a diet! Surgery was a last option for me and I don't regret it nor do I believe it was the easy route. I am not a fan of Jullian nor of the show. I remember there was once a challenge for a group that had been out to get back in. They had then do steps for five minutes and the one who did the most got the spot. Thing was there was one man whose knees were shot and one woman who had asthma! It certainly did not seem like a fair contest. Also the contestents are not all the same size I would guess BMIs probably range from 35 to 60 and while they go by percentage of what is lost someone who is 400lbs at 5'3" will lose a bigger percenbtage then someone who weighs 250 at 5'3" doing the exact same thing. Nancy
  18. Hi, I would think the card would work to order from the senior menu and I think the resturant would rather that since the senior menu does cost more then the children's menu.
  19. Hi, Sorry to hear this. Do you have a previous ekg for comparison? I have a good friend who for years has had an inverted T wave every time she gets an EKG there is always drama until they see she has had this. She has also had a hyst3erectomy which is even more major surgery wise without problems. I too before my sleeve had a "borderline" ekg a partial RBB and inflamed left artrium my previous ekg 3 years ago was normal. I was sleeved two months ago withpout any problem. Hopefully your case will be the same. I agree a stress tests and 2nd ekg are excellent idea. Nancy
  20. Oddly enough I feel more hunger now then I did pre op. Pre-op I rarely ever felt hunger but then I also rarely ever felt full now I feel both.
  21. I usually have to cut the taste of chewables with a Fiber Choice to cut the taste. I am definitely going to look into this thanks. nancy
  22. Hi, I am still trying to figure out the changes on the site so if this is a repeat message that's why.

    isa,

No problem. I am only two months out so my experience is limited. And forgive me in advance I do tend to ramble.

I have always been overweight not grossly fat just overweight except for a short period in my mid twenties when I was actually thin. Then i...

    Food Servers seemed annoyed

Sounds like he took an extra dose of rudeness for the day! So far I have avoided any rude servers probably because we usually go eat with our friends who eat *alot* and she tends to be a demanding customer so they probably never even notice me(VBG) Seriously I am amazed too at how much I use to eat my husband and I share a Breakfast that I use to polish off on my own! I also notice over weight people something I never did before. Nancy
  25. Hi, I am a scale addict and have to say that is the dumbest thing I do because I am usually either disappointed that I did not lose pounds in the last 24hrs(G) I have had some gain during my stall but it dropped a couple of days later.
