I'm on my way to being banded in October, hopefully the 15th or 18th... Yahoo... Tough work, but well worth it. Are you getting banded then too?? I would love to have friends to talk and share my experiences with, for Encourgament and Cheers for scale & NSV goals.

Hi ladies - I was banded 10/18/10, I have 3cc in a 10cc band, my doctor is ultra conservitive. I have lost 64.8 pounds and feel AMAZING... I work out about 4 times a week, Zumba, weights and Water aerobics - I am loving it. My eating is pretty tame, low low carb, high Protein - it works for me. I'm happy everyone is doing so well

lapbands and relationships

So I'll take it from a different angle... It's totally a girl thing... Your girlfriend sees you go from 315 cuddle bear to a 188 hottie and is incredibly scared that you are going to want to find another girl that "fits" in the worlds eye of BF/GF. Women are far more emotinal that men, we are insecure if our underwear don't fit the same way twice. Her comments about "the other girls" are fish hooks - she wants you to come out and say " this is all for you babe", and truely make her feel like she is your #1. Her gaining weight as you're loosing it, is probably emotional eating - again, because she is scared of loosing you. I think the best thing you can do is sit her down and tell her how you feel, take her on a special date - get all glamed up (both of you) and really tell her how you feel. BUT.. and this is a HUGE one - if you aren't still in love with her - DO NOT LEAD HER ON.... this will wreck havic on her for the rest of her life... -

I can't belive what being sick does to this band. I've had a cold for about a week, a been on my DOT for like 4 weeks. Talk about tight. I didn't loose anything 2 weeks ago, went in for a fil last week, and finally lost 4.4 pounds last week. This take some major getting used to. How is everyone doing. I know this new layout take some major getting used to, but lets hear it. UPs Downs anything. Support makes the different, it truly does. -
So I have PCOS - and have since I was 17years old. I have never had regular periods, at most 1 a year, and that one was "normal". So to my suprise, I started my period - which wouldn't have been such a big deal, but it's been going on now for 5 weeks!!!! KILL ME NOW... But really - did anyone's cycle change DRASTICALLY after surgery? Should I be concerned, or what....

MONDAY Weigh-In
Loosing it for Life replied to Loosing it for Life's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Yahoooooo..... Today I weighed myself after a long week of "no no's" - not bad ones, but a few to many carbs and probably bigger portions than I should have. I had self soothed the fact that I might NOT loose weight this week. I was okay with it, because I had told myself that I would just get back on track and work harder and loose more this week... right.... WELL..... I DON"T HAVE TO!!!! I lost even when I wasn't trying as hard as I have been. I LOVE THIS BAND!!!! Last Weeks Weight 228.8 Current Weight 224.6 Down 4.2 pounds Did I mention I LOVE THIS BAND!!!! -

Fluffy - i'm so sorry you lost your grandma, I'm sure that had a lot to do with where your at now. Greif is a big player. I hope things turn around for you soon. To answer your questions; How are you doing with weight loss? Great.. I've been sucessfully looking weight each week. 32.8 Total; made it through thanksgiving happily to say. How are you emotionally? hit or miss... I think that somedays are good, and somedays are very not good.... More personal refletion; than diet related. Are you exercising? Yes, treadmill and eliptical. BUT.... again hit or miss... Usually about 3 times a week, sometimes if I'm really doing good 6, but thats been about 3 of the last 7 weeks. What is your daily routine? Eating: B-Protein shake, S - yogurt, L-protein/starch, S-cheese stick or protein, D-protein/vegi then after work I work out first thing when I get home if I dont', then i don't want to What has been the easiest thing so far? Suprisingly.. The eating... I've been really good at portion's (for the most part) - I have over eaten a couple times, but learned my lesson. No Vomiting or PBing, thank good. What has been the most difficult? lack of support from my husband..... Only with time..... All will adapt.... -

Hey gals (guys if we have them?) - Just checking in. Looks like you all are doing great. The new system is a bit weird for me, but I'll hand in there. How are you all feeling? How was your holiday. Things have been pretty good for me, breezed through thanksgiving thankfully, I'm like you I don't keep sweets and high carb food in the house so thats been fun NOT... Hopefully the Hubby will eat those soon.... hahaha.... My first fill was very uneventfull, she came in said - wow your doing good. Lay on the table, I did, about 30 seconds later I was up drinking water... Felt great. I can't say I have alot of restriction, I'm able to eat about a cup and a half of food, but try to stay closer to a cup. I'm working out good and feeling good. I've lost 32 pounds total... So I'm pretty happy with it. I hope you all are doing great, and let us know if you have anything you want to talk about, theres lots of ears here. Don't forget about Monday Weigh-ins if you'd like to share. -

So what is everyone doing for Thanksgiving?
Loosing it for Life replied to rhondas's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Tody is my most favorite holiday - it's not about money or presents, it's about family and memories made. I cook a huge meal and we eat and eat and eat. So this will be a new experience for me. I was banded 10/18/10, and had my first fill 11/18/10. I have followed my plan to the T... and proud to say so. Today, I will treat myself, I will eat my thanksgiving meal in stages, each entree at about 1/2 a cup, I'll forgoe the parts I'm not fanatic about, eat small amounts at each of my 6 meals. Startinge with a small homemade cinnimon Breakfast roll. Yummmmmmmy.... The band is a tool. Not a disease or a jail cell. I'm going to enjoy my time with my family and eat when I'm hungry. I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving Holiday. -

Happy Monday Team!!! #235.4 (-2.4#) Seeing my doctor this week for my first fill experience. Wish me luck!... -
Only once a week. On Mondays - so that I have a great Monday and look forward to it every day. If I weighed myself everyday - I would get very discouraged and have troubles staying on track.

Hi all - Please join in for Monday weigh-ins, if you like, and there is a great Christmas Challenge going on also - here's the link https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?...thkey=CJGdlIUD My mother had a great funny for me... I'm usually the cook in the family for Thanksgiving, and so they are all coming up to my house for dinner - she laughed and said - we're happy to eat squab, and a mini potato mash. We laughed, it was great. Thanksgiving is my most favorite holiday, I pray I'm strong enough to stay on track. -
