Jack, I am certainly glad to hear your take on this subject because my very own dragons seems to take a post and run with it... "Maybe you do have a problem"... Says my dragon, but i need to accentuate the positive and remember what I have accomplished. I think it is the truth we try to replace habits to some degree, just because it is the right thing to do. I do not miss the things that go along with overeating. But I do love the size 8 jeans that now fit. Hopefully I can just learn to leave me alone and quit trying to find a problem and go for the solutions.

This is so great to hear, I was sure that I was alone. The first thing to do is find support. I'm not brave enough to start a support group here because that requires that I admit Ihave a problem. (Im just not there yet ) but if someone starts something Iwill absolutely join.

I realize at this point that maybe there is some truth to this addiction transfer. I am having a great deal of trouble with this issue and have kept very quite about it because of fear. I know about addiction and though the t-shirt was to small, it fits now. I am having old desires that I thought I have surpassed years ago. I have not even thought about "it" in years but I ran into an old friend and the subject came up and I sort of slipped. Though I am strong I cannot get the thought out of my head that I was that stupid and slipping was so easy. I am so glad for this post, this has been eating away at me . Thanks friends

this thread is exactly what I needed to hear. I am truly struggling with the way I feel on the inside, I kno w these issues are hard to discuss or think about, because I ask myself, "what do you have to complain for, your thin now, But speeding up the mind to catch my body has been a small struggle. Thanks, tonijo 12/26/06-92lbs lost 8 more to go -

Hey everyone I was banded Dec 26 I have lost 92 lbs it has come off sort of fast, I feel like a new woman. The surgery woes are a NIGHTMARE, I havent had any problems and I am so waiting for the other shoe to drop, it was to easy for me. I am having problems finding other avenues other than eating to keep me from stressing I truly miss the crutch that food gave me, But I donot miss anything else about being over weight. I have stayed active, but depression still slips in with the "you arent worthy stuff" But If I would just call on you guys I could deal with these issues right? So here is my message hope, to look to you Dec bandsters for some problem solvers. tonijo

great idea. I made some baked potato soup for supper boiled some potatoes, a packet of ranch dressing, added fat free sour cream, bacon bits green onions and some cheese, salt and pepper to taste it was delicious and you will eat this at either end of the surgery. It was tolerated and good.

Mine, I was banded on the 26th of December, I was allowed broth which is great when boiled and a beaten egg was poured in while boiling the soup, just a littlle soy, salt pepper and a scant of vinegar- you have hot and sour soup which helps with the taste issues that you are having, I think it will slide right down, still mind your dr. but ask about soup. tonijo

I have a wonderful mother and she made my plate look like they do at one of those fancy french plates, the portion are so small and thet are made fun of on television, but actually they are the perfect poertions for us at this point. Really mother says it is all in the show, not the amount. -
I was Banded December 26, I am doing great, hope the best for the rest of the gang. weighed 241 at the dr. last visit. So we will see what I weigh the 3rd. Hopefully get my ticker established at that point..Hopefully December Bandsters we will lose at least 500 lbs all together by a certain date. want to try? Reply soon lets get a goal tonijo
