I have been overweight most of my life. I have tried so many diets and programs only to gain back ,plus every time. When I heard about the Lap Band I knew without a doubt that this is what I wanted. I asked my Primary Care Provider about it but because he wasnt knowledgable he refused to even discuss it. A year later I approached the issue again after Phentermine was no longer an option due to several health issues. I spoke to a friend that had the surgery and was very successful. I attended a seminar in November of 2009 and walked out determined to convince my Dr I would HAVE this Surgery.I have completed all the requirements and scheduled for surgery July 27, 2010. People ask me if I am scared or worried...I am Not the least bit, I am so excited and hopeful. I know it will be a journey and at times maybe difficult, but not as much as being overwight has been.
