My fills are 1 week apart until I get restriction. I actually just had my first fill last wednesday. I was banded July 28th. They measure what i had in there from surgery and it was 4cc so they added only 1 cc and said see how it goes for a week and then if I do ot feel full after eating the portion size then come back in next week. I can eat alot more than I am suppose too so I am going back in this week. My inurance company Aetna covers all fill for 13 months after the 13 onths it is 150.00 a fill. Hope this helps

Hello, I see you were banded around the same time I was. Mine was July 28th 2010. My first fill is scheduled for Aug 25th. I am looking for someone who I can talk with and get and offer encouragement too. I am down 20 lbs since surgery and the first two weeks after being banded was easy because I was not hungry now a different story I am real hungry. Even though really hungry I have kept to around 1200 calories and ow fat also started the gym last week. I average 3-4 days at gym but t is tough. Let me know if you want a support person. Thanks

Hi Jamie I had my surgery last Wed July 28th, I dont have a budy yet to encourage one another and share the expirence with. If you are looking for a buddy let me know glad to be here for you. The s12urgery wasnt bad for me bit the back pain caused by gas was. Most people expierence shoulder pain but mine was between my shoulder blades and for the first day took two does of the vicodin, The next day tool one dose at night after that just ibprofen to manage any pain. Today is sunday day 5 and I feel much better dont need anything as far as medicine. The incisions are sore but other than that i feel pretty good. I had stomach swelling so didnt feel hungry. I am doing better now just dont each much because not hungry. I can tell you the fat fee jello pudding is awesome goes down nicely and no problems also Yoplat light vanill a yougurt is also good. For soup Iveliked chicken broth, cram of chickem no chunks and tomoato is also good. Ive lost 12 lbs in 5 days, i know I wont continue to lose that much but just happy that I did. I am having sugey on 7/28 i literally found out my surgery was approved on 7/22 had my preop visit on friday 7/23 and I am doing terrible sticking with my pre op diet do you think I have blown it?

I am havng surgery on 7/28 and I am gaving a horrble time sticking to the reop diet starving!! and I was given no set amount of weight to lose only I need to shrink my liver, I am trying to stick to three ow cab protein shakes EAS and 1 lean Cusine and havent been true to it, Did I blow surgery

I can not believe this seems like it must be a dream! I just completed my 3 month requirements paperwork was submitted Friday 7/16/2010 and I was told it could take 10 to 30 days to hear back from insurance company Aetna. I got a call today and the surgery is approved only 2 days if even that and i have a approval Yaay! The only opening they have for a month is July 28th so I said I will take it now I am so nervous it is happening in 8 days WOW!

I have Aetna too. I als started the 3 month thing in April completed my last appt 7/13/10 and they submitted my paperwork on 7/16/10 to Aetna and just got a call this oning saying it was approved. My surgery is scheduled for 7/28 everything is moving so fast now.

I too just finished my 3 months and all the paper work was submitted to Aetna on Friday 7/16/10 and I preared myself to have to wait to hear back at least 10 to 30 days and guess what got a call about 2 hours ago saying it is approved!! They then told me they are booked for the next 30 days with one opening July 28th so I took the date now I am so excited but nervous too. I hope you hear back as fast as I did not sure what insurance company you have. I am keeping my fingers crossed for all of you :tt2:

I am very excited for you !!! I just found out 2 hours ago I also have been approved for surgery and the only opening in the next 30 days is July 28th only 8 days away.
