I love using the same shirt idea! That way there's no guessing...is it the color or shape that makes me look smaller... You can really see a difference keep up the Great work!

I'm glad I'm not the only one hungry! My protein drinks leave me in about an hour & my stomach starts growling! Same thing with soup, etc. I don't think I have any restriction...of course I'm to scared to test it out, so I will just drink Vitamin water zero. Someone posted this was really good flavored water with zero calories & tasted like Tang. They were right & it has vitamins, etc. in it so it's a win win! P.S. Weighted today 15lbs. down:) -
It's day 4? Banded on July 28th, Everything went well. I'm healing up & starving on this liquid diet! I don't think I have any restriction at all. I'm looking forward to week 2 with at least cottage cheese, can you imagine being excited for that! Well this is what I signed up for & I have lost 13lbs. So it's time to suck it up & wait for fill....tic tic tic. Hope everybody is healing & happy :wub:

Good Morning, I feel a lot better day 3 post-op. My tummy is still sore but get's better everyday. I'm feeling hungry with these liquids. Can't wait till next week when I get to add cream of wheat! Who would think I'd be excited for that. Thanks for the well wishes, Cindy

Hi Daisy, Today is day 3 for me post-op & I feel a lot stronger. My only concern is the protein drinks, soup etc. aren't lasting very long. I eat & 2 hrs. later I'm hungry again! Dr. office called yesterday to check in with me & I voiced my concerns, they said I'm just not as swollen as most. While this might sound good I have to wait 4 weeks for my first fill. I will be good but it won't be easy. Hope your doing well also. Cindy

I was banded Wed. July 28th. I'm home & doing well. Tummy's sore, throat's scratchy from breathing tube. I didn't get the gas pains so that was lucky. I don't think band is very tight because I can drink my whole 11oz. protein drink just fine. Wanted to check in & let people who are waiting to be banded know it's not that bad. I'm still laying low second day post-op but that's to be expected I think.

Thanks for posting I love hearing everybody's different experiences. I feel like it prepares me for things that might come up. I don't know anybody that has had this procedure, so this helps a lot! Thanks & have a speedy recovery.

You go first my time is 10:30am July 28th (insert scream) So excited! I'm in Washington & your in Texas (I'm guessing) we might be miles a part but were on the same journey. Best of luck & hoping you have a speedy recovery. Let's compare notes when were up to it.

Hi PLD don't know what happened to the friend request either. Have to admit computer stuff isn't my bag. Wish we were raised on these so I would feel more comfortable with them. On the other hand I wasn't indoors all day, I was outside playing and making friends. The good old days...Hee! Hee! I'll try sending another request to you.

It sounds like your on the road to recovery! Thanks for sharing, it helps to hear how everybody is doing after surgery. Everybody is so different, I hope mine is as positive as yours...count down 3 days!

Hi PDL, I'm also new to the group. I just joined in July & since I'm a self pay I guess things go faster. First Dr. visit July 15th. being banded on July 28th! I've been on Medifast for 8 days & I'm starving. It's 800 calories pre- packaged..ugh. I'm 55 yrs. old, retired also, married & all my children are adults. I live in Washington State but the desert part (todays forcast 101). Let's stay in touch through this exciting journey. I don't know about you but when your retired & the kids are gone the freedom is like crazy fun. I want to have the body to enjoy it! Cindy

Hi Nicki, I'd like to join your friends group. I'm new to this & will be banded July 28, 2010. I'm on pre-op diet day 7 & I'm starving, but I think end result will be worth it. I'm a self pay also so the pressures on to get my moneys worth. I'm married & my kids have all been put through college so it's me time! Let's stay in touch...Cindy

Congrats! Joyce13 When your up to it, let me know how everything went. I'm on the count down 4 days to go! I'm reading all I can to be prepared. Can you ever really be prepared? I didn't think so!

Wow I can really relate to the Grandkids comment. That's how I feel & this weight is getting in between me & living. Good Luck & start your count down. Mine is 1 week from today!!!!!

Yes I'm traveling 4 hours from home. Wanted a Doctor who has a lot of experience with lap bands. I got the same perscription for pain meds. as you Lortab & Zofran for nausea. Good Luck! -

Hi Hyka, I'm new to the site also. I'm being banded July 28th. I've been on a Medifast diet for 6 days & 6 more too go! It's probably not as bad as the all liquid diet, but I'm used to more than 800 calories a day...lol Tell us about your journey & welcome aboard!
