Hey thanks for sharing. I've tried gatorade strawberry kiwi (yummy) but I don't think the one I bought was protein recovery. I'm always looking for things with extra protein so I'll check it out. :-)

Wow is all I can say! You are doing what we all wanna do. Your hard work is paying off & you sound so happy. Good for you & have a fun trip.

Great job stopping when you felt full. I think this band has made me conscious of everything I put in my mouth. Being at a fair would be really tough & you did really well. Keep on making smart choices

Thanks for sharing your story. I love hearing what brings people to this lap band journey. I also watch Biggest Loser & think I would die on that show. How can you show up fat one day & be put on such an extreme exercise program. Keep up the good work your making real progress

You know your family & friends best, so if you choose not to tell that isn't weird at all. Everybody takes a different route on this journey. I will pray for you also & all the best.

Well today is two months since being banded & I've lost 27 lbs. A lot of people have lost more but I'm making progress & that's what counts for me. I started this journey to lose weight but also to gain back my independence. I haven't been able to walk for more than 3 minutes at a time for almost a year & a half. I got the H1N1 flu & was hospitalized for a week. When I came home it was another 10 days before I had the strength to do much walking. When I did my back felt like it was going to explode. Short version of story after every Neuroscience Specialist, MRI & test available, more injections to the spine than a porcupine , physical therapy & gaining 61 lbs. on a already chunky body...phew! I decided to pay for the LAP-BAND® (Ins. wouldn't cover) myself. It's a gamble to see if this is weight related but I'll feel better regardless. I'm already moving around better & I went back to physical therapy today. My clinic has a pool with a treadmill built in the bottom. They lower the water for me & I jog on it for 30 minutes. In the water I'm fine & in no pain:confused: this leads me to believe it could be a weight issue. Well whatever it is I'm not giving up with out a fight. I'm only 55 years old & I have a lot of living left to do! I hope everybody goes out today & makes it the Best Day possible!

I say pick the bob parted to the right #1 photo. It looks so sophisticated. You'll look good in any of them but that's my fav...I got a little teary eyed for you with all the wonderful compliments

Good Luck you'll do great! Keep us posted :-)

Your doing really good for only 4 months. Keep up the great attitude I think that's half the battle sometimes.

Wow reading your story took me back 18 months ago when I had my last cigarette. This isn't funny but when you described that cigarette leaving the hospital I felt I was smoking it with you..lol It is a really hard habit to break. I smoked 35 years & I still miss them sometimes but I feel so darn good now! Good luck on your surgery & that might be the perfect time to quit! Just sayin'

I know how you feel. I have the same size band & I'm on fill #3. It's a little better I have 6cc. in the band now but wish I didn't eat as much food each meal. People talk about a half a cup of food filling them up & it lasting for hours. That's what I want for a more rapid weight loss. Tomorrow is two months & I've lost 27lbs. which is good but I'm hungry still a lot of the time. Looking for that sweet spot people talk about

Sorry about the race & going through surgery again:( But you sound like you've got the right attitude to start again. I was happy to see you mentioned the race was in Seattle, Washington. I grew up in Seattle & don't see many people on this site from Washington. I now live in the desert portion of the state. Not as pretty but very little rain. We also share the same birthday...small world. Well this is starting to sound creepy so I will end it & say Good Luck were all rooting for you :-)! lol

I did the same thing as you a couple of days ago. It's not fun looking at those pictures. Next time when I put up the new ones I hope to see myself smaller. Good Luck & feel free to check mine out too:)
