I am a trained medical professional who took an oath to heal. A poor women asks me to perform an abortion. I do not perform abortions as a personal decision unless it is a life or death situation for my patient. My patient is a healthy female who presents with no symptoms of complications with her pregnancy, no signs of adverse effects but is carrying a normal pregnancy. I refer her to several associates who do perform this procedure.

A friend of mine had a vasectomy done on her adult Down's Syndrome son. She had it done purposfully and to protect him from things such as that which happened under protective care to the women who conceived.

I have a long trek to go much like you. I have my phone consult tomorrow. I'll let you know when he puts me on the deprivation march. Yes, asking an obese person to stick to that skimpy plan is like walking past a cat kennel and saying "stay!". Ah well. We do the best we can knowing that it is a short term discomfort for a long term benefit.

Spar one for the oversimplification. "People whore themselves out for money". Money talks bullshit walks. Money isn't the root of all evil, the love of money is the root of all evil. "Money it's a hit, don't give me that do-goody good bullshit" - Pink Floyd

Okay I guess you missed the part I wrote about Bush having reasonable cause and not being trigger happy. Ignoring the UN RESOLUTION, despite WHO it is with, would be an item on that list of reasonable cause. Hussein support(ed) the families of Palestiniian suicide bombers..... So are you saying that SH was good in that if a bomber walked into a market place and blew up men, women and children in the name of Allah it was a good thing because SH supported their families?

Homosexual Liberal Atheists ~ What's UP with that?
Lap_dancer replied to paladin's topic in Rants & Raves
Good one. Unfortunately it's the extreme cases like Swaggert with a hooker and Ted with a boy toy, that get the press. Don Henley had that song "Dirty Laundry" and Americans are fascinated with it. All of these people who make bad news front page news are accountable for their actions. And time will also reveal the hearts of these individuals deviant or not. But they do not represent all of the christian faith. ................. Terri Schiavo. Man that was one sad case. I never thought the courts should have gotten involved, it was a family matter. I've asked so many questions about motive for that case. Why didn't he pull the plug from the get go when it was, according to his expert's testimony, apparent she would no longer function independently? The answer I came to was he had hope she would recoup some functions with therapy. When her family came forward and stated they wanted her, to take care of her, Terri would be none the wiser, Michael Schiavo already had another relationship and child with another woman. Why didn't he just move on? Who could blame him? But to fight like that for what was in essence her body? Motive. What would drive someone to do that? $$$$he had one hefty insurance policy for one. -
See I don't look at it that way. Paid for services rendered. If they do not think they risk death or retaliation by working for the Allied as translators they have their heads buried in the ample sand over there. I would counter with, "Why not ask Great Britain for asylum? or Canada?" There are other countries to ask for asylum but the states always make the press as the bad guys (see horse on the ground no longer moving). Do we see a soldier asking to go home because it got to tough? They felt threatened? Like they were in threat of losing their life? No, you pretty much know what you are signing up for and if you don't Boot Camp clears it up. I have not heard of The Main or Tonkin probably because they were so remote and didn't involve the world on such a large scale. You can fool some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time. Again, I nod to the Allied countries and their intelligence. See those photos of buried in the sand fighter aircraft? No weapons at all? Why the cat and mouse with SH? If you have the UN heat blowing down your neck and in your back door asking, on behalf of the world, to inspect what you have blown off your mouth touting to the world as possessing, and you continue to blow off at the mouth and disregard respectful requests to diplomatically allow for a neutral inspection, and you hand signed a treaty agreeing to such ten years prior and you still don't comply, we can expect to lose the house, the truck, or whatever else is at stake. There may not have been WMD but SH brought this heat on his people by his own arrogance and belief he was not accountable to anyone. Not even to his own people that he killed.

There are so many messages and stories on this website just go down to the FORUM JUMP option at the bottom of the page and pick a topic to read. The one thing you will find is you have so much in common with these people. We all have tried endlessly to lose weight by traditional means. Most of us are morbidly obese if not severely morbidly obese. That tells you traditional methods have not been successful. I personally picked the band because it is less invasive surgically and my chief complaint to my doctor on dieting has always been " I never feel full " This is the perfect solution for me.

Prayers for him right away. Keep us posted and strength to your daughter as well.

What's the worst thing someone said to you?
Lap_dancer replied to annieM's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
So many stories. I hesitate to say anything because others have been far more hurtful. Crying in the shower...I so understand that one Kity. Little did they know I was there for the sugar free/fat free soft serve they carried. Jerks!-Faithmd, unfortunately they were also so closed minded that they never stuck around to find this out. "Hit and run" I call that. Famouslastwords- I was one week post delivery of my first child. My grandfather said to me as I was nursing "you sure have put on the weight". My mother, who is overweight guided me to the Plus sizes and said "we'll look for clothes in OUR size". -

My Lap Band Pre and Post Surgical Goody Bag: What I would put in it.
Lap_dancer posted a topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
:nervous You are packing for the surgery, you are taking a bag to help you with any discomforts on your way home. You bring along an ice pack or... (those who are post surgical help those of us who are presurgical by filling in the blanks) Thanks! -
Homosexual Liberal Atheists ~ What's UP with that?

And they have a right to be unintelligent! ((smiling)) -
No matter how you slice it, what they lived in prior to the war was no where better than present day paid-for-services- risking- death Iraq. Atleast they would know WHY they were killed if in fact that is the case. The old regime offered no explainations. My nephew stayed in Abu Ghraib (prison) which was converted to living quarters for soldiers. The stories dont seem believable because no one wants to think a person was hung by a butcher's meat hook and tortured. The obsurdity of a "fake war" is something I cannot fathom but there are people who believe in UFO's and others still who believe readily in Big Foot (not the truck) so to each his own. It is illogical to think one would make up a story to create a war, it is furthermore foolish to believe other countries would believe a false story without checking it out for themselves. Thank you for the kind words about my boy. I do love him so and he has grown on my heart tremendously. I should have known my daughter would pick someone so capable of loving her so deeply. He's so brave too. If you are so inclined send high thoughts his way for safe keeping.

:heh::heh::heh::heh: BRAVO! I kicked myself too. That was then this is now. -
I know the translators are paid well by Iraq standards. It's not the idea situation over there but then again they are in a new democracy and here we are trying to compare our 200 plus years of democracy to their foot start. My precious soldier boy is my daughter's boyfriend. He just left this morning (no lie) for EOD training in Alabama. I still don't know all the acronyms for the Army but EOD is an explosive that is improvised and planted somewhere. He will be trained to detonate the bombs that are commonly called "roadside bombs" in Iraq. From his mouth to my ears, The Iraqi people are glad we came over there, glad Sadam Hussein is gone, but ready for us to leave. By the same token they know they still need support from Allied forces. What I didn't know was that many Iraqis are employed and learning trade skills within the coalition. Healthcare is better, there are many things that seem like minor details to some but would typically be a positive thing when you lived under opression, the kind SH delivered.

Can you appeal if there is an exclusion?
Lap_dancer replied to ATRAVOLTA's topic in Insurance & Financing
An exclusion means WE DO NOT COVER IT. I would give the denial letter to the doctor's office and have them draft an appeals letter. TRY. -
I would want to go with the Doc. I signed up with. * I don't like surprises like signing a form you might not get the doctor whose name we promote* Dr. Ortiz is one I almost went with. Jump threads to DOCTORS AND HOSPITALS below from the drop box. You'll see much discussion there.
