I am very offended by the B**love post

I find it amusing to see how many are so offended by the offense of the offending words that weren't meant to offend. Oh, and anytime someone needs an interpreter to clarify, might go back and edit themselves. They do have that option you know.

Surgery tomorrow

Hello Ray! Welcome and I'm excited for you and your sugery date. Happy hunting when you start losing that weight and can add your OWN pack of choice with that rifle. I myself am a Bambi lover but my future son-in-law is THE hunter with his gun collection and trunk of SKEET near his gun rack in his 4WD 4x4. Look forward to reading about your surgery. I can't offer you much advice but I am ahead of you by three weeks. I can tell you to take it easy after the operation, give yourself time to heal, follow the doctor's orders, try all kinds of soup broths, now is the time to do so.

Best of luck to you tomorrow. It's an exciting phase in your life to think of all of the things you will be able to do!!! My favorite is to actually feel FULL after eating.

thanks for sharing! I love happy occasions. Much love and long life to them!
4. You all inspire me. Mal: Lap Dancer~ I am with you in the sensitive sense of smell. I already have that and I hope it doesn't get worse after surgery. Everyone who knows me, knows that I have super hero powers of smell and it drives me insane...here's the kicker, my husband has no sense of smell, so I REALLY drive him nuts!!! THAT WAS FUNNY! Super hero powers of smell!!!

There is an option I will share with you all. It's how to block a user that you find offensive to the point of nausea, on your list as an IGNORE. Go to the user's name as it appears on all of their posts and click on it. The drop box will open and you can select VIEW PUBLIC PROFILE Once in there on the far right is IGNORE. Click on IGNORE and you no longer have to clench your jaws just to enjoy this website.

You know Carlene, I use to be a foster parent. My husband and I went to school for 10 weeks of training. One thing they kept repeating to the class was "they don't put cute white unharmed babies in foster care" trying to disuade those who might be fostering to fill some need for children. After years of fostering children that were in various stages of abuse, anyone who would be so ignorant, so blind, so senseless to the pain inflicted upon a child who has been molested by everything from a human to objects found on your grocery shelf, anyone who would equate that kind of damage EQUAL TO prayer in school needs serious therapy. They have major issues and our forum doesn't offer that type of professional assistance.
8. I have a P.S. to my post: Remember how I told you all that my nose was off the charts? It still is. I came home from work, walked in the house, had a Yankee candle going so it smelled nice. I went into my bedroom and the smell of something was overwhelming me. I waited about an hour, did a brief search, couldn't find it, asked my son if he could smell it, he could, called my husband who was overdue home and screamed " I need you here NOW". He walked in the door five minutes later. I told him to go to our room and smell it. He could faintly smell something, I was going off the wall. We sat and chatted, I couldn't take the smell even though I was in the upper part of the house in the living room. Hubby went back to our room and came out with ...a charred electrical cord. The six outlet extension was toast at one outlet. He said when he saw it and picked it up, it crackled in his hands. He touched my nose and said "good nose". So hands up for the great white sniffer that is one of the benefits I came out of the surgery with! Hyped out olfactory sense that possibly saved me from a burned house!!!
9. :clap2: to good days! May you have many more!
10. First of all, TATER! It is great to hear from you!!! Would love to go antiquing with you some day!! What fun. I don't see how you are walking so much. We were banded one day apart from eachother. I walk the campus at work and my belly is sore after a few hours. Anita I always think my cycle is like the moon. It has it's own rhythm. Shesha what did today bring for you? Michelle hope today is good for you. I love that you give "strokes" to folks. We are too quick to beat ourselves up over small things. I would still be dwelling on candy if I had eaten some. Need to learn to let go. I'm losing about a half pound a day. I don't plan on getting filled until that starts to slow, I feel hungry, and so forth. I'm lovin Boston Market sweet potatoes, the small size. Makes for a nice breakfast and the other half for lunch. I just don't seem to be hungry these days. Sore. Very sore. I went back to work today and made it through the whole day!!

Day from Hell

Everything happens for a reason. I know so close and to have this must be incredibly discouraging. Wait and see what happens. Surgeon may not have had time to read the results of the scans and speak to your doctor. Hope for the best, plan for the worst.

Constipation

Can I offer Gerber's fruit juices in apple juice (apple juice to keep you loose). It helped me when I was taking the pain medicine. I can also offer that if you eat a large meal that may get the juices flowing. Children's cereal: Kaboom (they gave it that name for a reason) Good luck Paula

I thought about that BOYLOVE thread today and I put myself in check. I moderate another Vbulletin website and I'm the one who is always whistling the free speech whistle. When it comes to questionable items as in said BOYLOVE post, there is no debating the value of it as an item on the site. I call those kinds of posts "Baiters". They are designed to bait a fued, cause friction and division. It's not a Catholic vs. Wiccan issue, it's not a gay issue. The whole purpose was simply to bait and stir to get everyone's ire up. Think about it, does anyone coming to a website like this for the purpose of obesity/surgery/beneficial health information have need for BOYLOVE? And check out the first post. It's a missile at the christians on here that they have lightened up. Says who? So while I am disappointed that we all got baited into this thread, I will not give it anymore time than the penis post. It will die a natural death. Now I have weight to lose.

Because at some point someone should decide the customers don't want it on the menu. Rocky Mountain Oysters are still Bull's Balls no matter what you call it.

where are the moderators? If this site were one that was not family friendly, with a focus on health and wellness perhaps but BOYlove? C'mon!
16. Hi Michelle. I think my husband wants this to work even moreso than I do and that is a lot. He's seen me go from this super active woman to one who spends much time in bed. The past two years I feel infirmed. I'm sure he is being protective, overseeing, not wanting me to get any sicker than I already have been. Thanks for looking up the protein count on the eggs. Today I woke up not hungry at all. So finally about two this afternoon I had what I REALLY wanted, mushy sweet potatoes. This is freaky. I go from I'm not hungry at all to I could eat an omelette. Thanks folks for reminding me there is still healing going on. I'm going to try to go to work tomorrow. Everyone have a grand week.
17. I think not. Sorry folks, I don't think it's appropriate for this Forum. The name alone conjers up Dateline NBC "To Catch A Predator" visions.

Almost There But I Am In Trouble!!!

liquids = diverticulitis ( I have to consume liquids and such after an attack. Roughage of any sort is out of the question for me ) Flu bug? Just getting over it. Don't eat with the gang. Chances are you may find someone else who isn't a one for all and all for one person who prefers a quiet dinner. Did I mention room service? The kitchen can accomidate you. Low fat, cooked well for easy digestion. Whatever makes it easy on you.

Almost There But I Am In Trouble!!!

I would go to the conference/training but that's just me. For the next four days drink Water, water, water, room temperature. Having had horrendous heartburn I can tell you what to stay away from, anything caffinated like coffee, tea and chocolatey. Run from tomatoes. They kill me. Stay with a bland diet. chicken, baked. Potatoes, baked. If you are still hungry go with cheese and water.

blue cross blue shield

Sweet! Have you...gone to Weight Watchers? Jenny Craig? Have you been on: The Cabbage Soup Diet The TWA Stewardess Diet The Low Carb Diet The high carb low fat diet The Canadian hockey team diet? The wrestlers weigh-in diet The all fruits and cheese diet Beets and wheats diet? My point is these are all attempts at weight loss by other means. I've been on so many diets and diet club memberships I could've paid for my surgery.

Hotpink, this might help you to know many of us are still trying to find that "sweet spot" that so many speak of. Trial and error is the way.

The dreaded word: Exclusion

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida has an exclusion on my plan. I can't understand it either. Are they that stupid? If BCBS of Texas is a go, and I would check, double check, and triple check the policy, then go for it. You want to look for the requirements for surgery approval. Some make you wait six months for a doctor supervised diet. If you have already had that don't worry. Just check.

Sliming--UGH!

I was told salads as in lettuce and leafy vegetables are not band friendly. I haven't slimed. I don't think I want to.

Drove 2.5 Hours and FillUSA called to cancel

I look at signs too. Sometimes it's a sign of a non professional doctor who waited to call you at the last minute when you were six miles away...but on the other hand, if you feel like you are doing well then stick by it. If I was still losing I'd stick by it too.
25. Hey Group of Dr. K'ers. I did not dare say anything to my husband but he's overly concerned I ate a four egg omelet for dinner. Took me my usual half an hour, no water. I'm now drinking my water. He thinks I'm able to eat too much. Calorie wise I'm at about 1100 calories today. I'm not sick, I'm full. I'm not hungry. Anyone else able to eat an omelet? Am I focusing too much on this?<<<<<<<<<
