(drip * drip * drip ) ...Michelle that's me dripping with jealousy of your museum excursion. WOW. If they were having an impressionist exhibition I might actually whine and chew my fist (since noshing is out of the question unless I want a "Cat Fancy" hairball hack attack) Take pictures and post them. Very nice of you to say that Mal and Robin. I think I'm one of those that see's the world on the other side of the coin. (same coin different side) I made this for my favorite (one of ) artists: Henri de Toulouse-Latrec <embed src="http://apps.rockyou.com/rockyou.swf?instanceid=73566525" quality="high" wmode="transparent" width="426" height="320" flashvars="appWidth=325&appHeight=244" name="slideshowpreview" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="<A href="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"/><br><img">http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"/><br><img src="<A href="http://apps.rockyou.com/dot.gif?w=SS&d=F29B&c=3&id=&=.gif"><a">http://apps.rockyou.com/dot.gif?w=SS&d=F29B&c=3&id=&=.gif"><a target="_BLANK" href="<A href="http://www.rockyou.com?type=slideshow&refid=73566525"><img">http://www.rockyou.com?type=slideshow&refid=73566525"><img title="RockYou slideshow" src="http://apps.rockyou.com/images/logo-mini.gif" border="0"></a> <a target="_BLANK" href="<A href="http://www.rockyou.com/slideshow-create.php?source=cyo&refid=73566525">Create">http://www.rockyou.com/slideshow-create.php?source=cyo&refid=73566525">Create Your Own</a> -

I don't regret having this done one second. But that's me. I tried everything and was so desperate to get this weight off, I would have been happy with 20 pounds less. I wish you luck. the best is yet to be. It is natural to have fear of the unknown. -

No clocks in Vegas. How cool! Someone was thinking. Woofy hope the car is resolved. Mal, you make me want to go to Vegas. Hope everyone her on the Dr. K thread is having a great day. Best of luck to the up and coming bandsters. He's a busy man and I am so glad he is the one who did my surgery. -

Hey Mal. I went to water aerobics again today. There was a different teacher there. I do love her style. She added some YOGA which was fantastic. I feel I got a focused workout today. I'm so out of shape. It's pathetic. My mother can do better than I can. But the teacher is younger, more my age and most of the ladies are my mother's age so it was like having a friend there. She played great music. It was just a super workout. >>But I was in group and Dyno Mini has her own trainer which I LOVE that concept<< But I'll stick with this. It works for me. You know when it rains in pours it seems. The upside is atleast the cars will be fixed. My fill is fantastic. I'm sailing along and feeling what RESTRICTION really feels like. I know when I'm full. It goes ...sssscreeeech.. and I dare not put one more bite in my mouth. I think this next fill will set me for a few months. I'm right on the edge. I can still eat a little bit more than I think I should and breaking that habit is going to be a huge thing. I do not regret one ounce having this Lap Band put in. I wish I'd done it sooner! -

Morning Everyone! Sorry I've been out of the loop for a bit. I began excercising yesterday!!! Went to a water aerobics class and felt fantastic. I was suppose to go back today for the same one hour workout but when I put my feet on the floor I thought my back was going to crack. One word: OUCH. Doing good. My stomach ( where the majority of my fat is ) is starting to look funky. I can now see the texture difference going from normal to the stretch. :: Think glassy waters of a pristine lake to choppy ocean currents. I also can see stretch marks now. Wow, makes me realize that being so big was like using the BLOW option over my stomach on Photoshop. Looking forward to July. I'm coming out with my son. (awww me) My appt. is July 12th at 11:30. Everyone have an awesome day. Patty -

Good morning Bandmates: Marcy I wore my monkey PJ's to Parker the morning of my surgery. The fabric is jersey knit, real popular with teen girls in the form of funky drawstring pants and matching t's. You can find them at Lane Bryant, Fashtion Bug..pretty much anywhere. Think comfort. For the next few days I wore my BED and sheets as in slept. Bring flip flops to slide on after the surgery when you are going home. Just keep it simple. &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& WOW! We have artists, many artists! Do share your works! .. Thank you all for the kind words. I think pictures liven up a thread. Glad you all are enjoying them. Mal I do PARADES as in parade floats. I almost brought Mardi Gras beads to our Gathering. I have loads. One of my most favorite photos from one of the parades I was in: I got married at Weeki Wachee Springs. Weight: 135 and I was up a little on the scales!! I thought I looked so fat in this picture. My graduation picture. More the size range I was into. 125lbs. Family party celebrating Patrick's graduation. * I TOO LOVE THEMES* We had fireworks at the end of the party which included a white tent erected near the Water, a buffet complete with java buffet (I do love my coffee), a live band and water guns/pinata/fun fun fun ART Watercolor, ink, pencil. In my OTHER SELF I am an artist. This multi medium piece is recycled ties. There are a series of four paintings called "Tie Scrapers". They were in a casino north of where I live but that has since closed so I don't know where the owner has them. Here are two. One is called "Ties Square New Years Eve." -

Morning friends! Doing great on this end. I had 1/3 of the insides of a grinder last night. That meant the dog got some goody in the form of a hero sub roll. Had about 3-4 oz. of the ground meat and it went down one tablespoon at a time. I can feel restriction! Next gathering July 11? I'll be there with bells on. -

Sunnysea!! Great to see you here. Good luck on the new job. Thirtysomething? Moi? How sweet! I have two children, 21 and 23. I'm 47 yrs. young. (it's only a number) I finally know what real restriction is like. Wow. It feels like I did right after the surgery but I'm not so nauseated. I actually feel great. But I had a troubling tango with a small bite of hamburger yesterday. Ohhh my what a mess. So I think I will choose 24 hours of liquids and then go to mushies for just a bit. -

DrewsLou I so wanted to meet you. I'll be in Denver again for my next fill the week of July 12th. LET'S DO IT AGAIN !!! SunnySea I really hope you can make it to one of our gatherings. Meeting you once was divine, having you there would have been great. Thank you for the drink! Mango daquiri toasted to you. Woofay - You are beautiful inside and out. Your smile warms the room. Thank you for coming to Red Robin. It meant so much to meet you. Mal - It was GREAT to finally put your posts and stories to a face. The short time we were all together has stayed in my heart. Your support means so much. Michelle (Dynamo Mini) Your call on my cell welcoming me "to the Mile High city" came on speaker phone and greeted me and my parents as we drove from Enterprise Rental towards Aurora. What a grand welcome! Your directional support around that town is greatly appreciated. Seeing you again at Dr. K's the next day was an added blessing. I wish we had more time, I wish I lived closer. We are all so lucky to have this website. There is more support here than I ever imagined. My fill was interesting. I was nervous for the unknown. But Dr. K was his usual talk-you-through-it self explaining everything. He is a details man. We went back and forth on .1 cc but I ended up with about 3.7 cc's in my port. ** I made an appt. for July 12th so I'll be back out in Denver then* LET'S GET TOGETHER!! I -

Welcome mymacksy. I travel from Tampa, Florida to Denver, Colorado to go to this doctor. I went because of his price, after speaking to him on the phone with our phone consultation (who can't love a high tech doctor who does long distance consults via conference call, email with power point slides and talks you through the procedure all from your office at home!) I just got back from Denver last night. I am home less than 12 hours. I just had my first fill. Which reminds me.... HELLO GIRLS! I'm BAAAAACK! Pictures forthcoming. -

Hi FRIENDS! A quick note. Greetings from the mile high city. I am leaving this morning and heading to the airport shortly. Girls it was DIVINE meeting you and sunny I will post the drink I ordered in your honor. It is in my camera at the moment..the picture not the drink. My fill was a piece of cake or in my case a cup of Water. Nothing to fret over. BOY DO I HAVE RESTRICTION. hahahhahah. Was so funny. We went to macaroni Grill afterwards and I ordered a salad. Two bites of chicken went down easy easy, the the third one was like OOOPS I've got something full in there. Slowed down eating but I KNOW I have restrictioin now. Feels like right after the band. I'll post pics when I get home and write more. Off to the airport. Hugs and thanks for the wonderful eveing at Red Robin. L, Patty/Lap Dancer -

Greetings friends: It's 4:44 AM and I am packed and leaving shortly for the airport. I am staying at the Best Western Gateway in Aurora. Meeting at Red Robin on Arapahoe Road in Greenwood Villiage, CO tonight at 7 PM Denver time. Peace to ya'll and I'll see some of you tonight!!!! Patty -
I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. You are right, she has gone on to better things. This too shall pass. We are beings who eat our emotions. Your friend's death, while tragic, is not the cause of your eating down your pain. We are only a few days behind eachother on banding. We don't have restriction in the sense like those who have fills. Once you get filled you should feel full. In the meantime, you need to find another source for your pain. That is something you will have to search out and find for yourself. I can suggest things but since we are humans, it can be different for all. books help me get distracted, the internet is a huge distraction, movies, I love movies and joined Netflix. You can watch foreign films which take you to another place and sometimes another time. There is also the working on the spirit. Some have found solice in meditation, yoga, prayer, church groups. Others take classes for education to increase their knowledge base...that would be me. Signing up for classes and taking a course in cake decorating. (seems strange but now I am not afraid I will eat all the cakes I bake so I feel safe to pursue a hobby I have long wanted to undertake). My best to you and peace within.

Look what I found: ''In light of recent attention involving paid celebrity endorsements, CNN became aware that some celebrities we interviewed about their health problems might be paid,'' said Sarah Cohn, a CNN spokeswoman. ''We decided it was important for our viewers to be aware of that as part of any future interviews or features about a celebrity.'' Executives at CBS say they also may have overlooked some celebrities' ties to medical companies. ''This is a brand new thing,'' said Marcy McGinnis, the senior vice president in charge of news coverage at CBS News. Ms. McGinnis said producers at CBS had not looked into the financial ties of the rock singer Ann Wilson of the band Heart, to Inamed, a company that makes a medical device for the obese. A July 18 segment on ''The Early Show'' featured the musician and her doctor, Brian B. Quebbemann. ''The Early Show'' ran part of a taped interview with Ms. Wilson where she said Inamed's Lap-band, a silicon band that is fastened around the stomach during surgery, was ''a beautifully simple idea.'' Dr. Quebbemann performed the Lap-band surgery on Ms. Wilson in January. Inamed, through Spotlight Health, a firm that specializes in creating celebrity marketing campaigns for medical companies, paid Ms. Wilson to promote the Lap-band." CNN to Reveal When Guests Promote Drugs For Companies - New York Times on Courtney from Page Six of the Post: April 12, 2007 -- IS Courtney Love not telling the whole truth about her dramatic weight loss? Love insists her fabulous new figure is due to diet and exercise, but a friend said, "She's telling people she got the gastric band surgery. She even said she had to sleep with a towel by her because the surgery makes her [vomit] all the time and is worried she won't be able to make out with anyone because of her breath." But a rep for Love, who says she's dragged him to healthy macrobiotic restaurants, insists, "Not true. She says she never got surgery." Either way, she looks great.
