Good job guys!! I was banded on 8/20/10 and have lost 20 lbs so far..now my scale isnt moving! getting my second fill on Friday, finally!!

thank you for this post. i have been so depressed lately im 3 mos post op and have only lost 10 lbs. its not even helping that my doctor has very high expectations from me...now im dreading to see him again because he shows how disappointed he is to find out i havent lost more weight.

hi dont worry its pretty normal. since youre taking liquids, theres nothing solid in your system to flush out. i did number 2 5 days post of and it was mostly just liquid (eewww)

hi! its pretty normal, it feels kinda uncomfortable and a bit of pain when u move. im more than a month post op and feel a slight pain when i move on my port side

im glad i saw this post. i was banded 8/20/10 and lost 8 kilos 1st week post op and havent lost since. this really frustrated me and make me kinda embarrassed to see my doctor. i dont feel the full sensation anymore and can eat a bowl of soup, 1/2 c of rice and some piece of meat or fish. i really cannot wait to have my fill!!!

cottage cheese, mashed potatoes, greek yogurt with honey, chicken broth with tiny noodles, cream soups (mushroom, corn, potato or squash), laughing cow cheese wedge, gatorade :thumbup:

Im 3 weeks past surgery, lost 13 lbs the first week, gained1.5 lbs the second and now Im not losing weight. Its frustrating! I know i should take my time and focus on the healing, but my doctor assigned a dietician to monitor my weight loss and she wants me to lose 7lbs a week!!! *&^$%%!!

I live on Crystal Light, Vitamin Water, V8 Splash and Diet Iced Tea :smile:

im more than 2 weeks post op and i am TIRED! The dietician is restricting me to 400 calories a day which is a real challenge for me. I wake up tired and I sleep exhausted!

im 2.5 weeks post op and the port is the only place in my body that hurts, especially when i bend and sleep on my side.

Im craving for pizza!!! :thumbup:

Hi 9384, We were banded on the same day! So far Ive lost 13lbs the first week then gained 1.5 lbs on the end week. It was a bit frustrating for me because I meet with a dietician every week and she wants me to lose 13lbs a week!! I have no idea how I could lose 13lbs every week for the first month!!

Hi Mondaylady, had surgery last Friday and im feeling much better now (todays a Thursday). The first 3 days after surgery was very uncomfortable for me, my stomach hurt, walking felt like i had a huge cement in my stomach, i couldnt eat a lot but i was hungry..i knew it was hunger because my stomach was growling. but you will get better...tomorrow im already planning my first trip out of the apartment since last friday i can walk better now, but i have to stop once in a while because the wounds still hurt a bit. goodluck to us :tongue2:

wow, i will miss fried chicken, steak,spaghetti, rice, burgers. ill be banded next week so im eating all these things...

im getting banded next week (friday) and only my mom, dad, brother, sister and fiance know (because if anything happens to me, theyre the first to know). the rest will never find out. :cursing: like most of you, i dont want people to criticize, scrutinize my decision

hi, wow you just got banded huh congratulations!! ill be banded next week (friday) and im excited and nervous. hows your first week going so far? same as the others, i prefer not to tell those outside my immediate family that ill be banded. i think there are some who just dont understand and instead of encourage you they try to make you feel bad with your choice or worse try to tempt you!!(i live in an asian society).

Hi, its nice to hear positive thoughts about lapband...i will be banded next week (friday) and i am getting so nervous. i have an idea of what to expect (my doctor briefed me well) but then everyones different. wish me luck :cursing:

hi donnapie thanks for replying. wow!! 32 lbs in one month thats huge already! :tt2: my doctor said the same thing that i should expect around 30lbs of weight loss the first month. but now i feel nervous, a bit scared.but i know these feelings are just normal. im enjoying my food now before the big day..but i hate it when people say "so paano yan di ka na makakain"...its like theyre putting an end to everything which i think is not. what was it like for you the first month?

Hi guys im glad i saw this forum, im having my operation end of july or first week of august. im scared and excited at the same time.

hi kirby ill get banded end of july, we can buddy up if you want though ill be a few weeks earlier than you. im nervous and excited at the same time. by the way im 32, 200 lbs, bmi of 36 and i have to bring my weight down to 120-130 lbs.

i wish i can join your group but im getting banded july 29. good luck!!
