I finally decided to do the Lapband surgery after trying many diets. I would be successful, but when I went off the diets, I would gain all of the weight back, plus more. As a result, I weighed more than I ever did in my life when I knew I had to do something different. I also have high blood pressue and high triglycerides. And trying to exercise was not great, either. I would be out of breath after climbing stairs, and attempts at exercise left me wheezing. A co-worker had the surgery and gave the Lapband book to read, so I looked more deeply into it and decided it was what I wanted to do. So, last Wednesday was my surgery date.
