Hi Everyone......I did say I would not be back here, but hey what the heck.......don't worry about carbonated drink, I found that if I just sip it, then it's okay. I did gulp it down once and boy the reaction was not a good one, I thought I was going to die! Bottom line, if you can live without it, then leave it alone. Ice cream is something I am only just getting into but you know what ladies, it dosent matter if yiour scales fluctuate by a couple of pounds because bottom line is.......you are still losing weight or at the very least not gaining any. That in itself is a good thing. Hope to hear from you all again soon. -
I go to see my surgeon tomorrow. I have lost 30 lbs so far just from taking the 3 month nutrition class that my insurance mandates. I thought for awhile that I might not need the surgery, but then I hit a plateau. I have been watching youtube every night and driving my husband crazy from that! OMG, he would die if I ever got a tattoo! You go girl! I love it that I have someone to chat with now! My name is Kelly - jksteggeman@embarqmail.com. I do facebook, but I haven't told hardly anyone about my impending surgery. I like to keep that to myself - want to avoid others gossiping about it.

Nice to hear from someone. Don't be scared, I can assure you it is the best decision you can make......I was so unhappy with my weight and to make me feel better guess what I did......I ate! The band was the catlyst for losing weight. It certainly made a huge difference in my life. I even marked the occassion by having a tattoo!!!! Much to my husbands horror but hey I now feel really good about myself.......Its not that I am this skinny thing.....I consider myself to be an 'average' sizederson now and I love it. I hope we can be great friends in the future......not sure about this site so if you want to add me on msn my address is suziek59@hotmail.com

Hi there, Im in Melbourne Australia.........I'm 51 years old and have had my lapband since August 2008. I saw the thread for Lapband Buddies/Mentors and thought what a great way to make some new friends! I travel overseas every year and would love to start making some friends in another country so if there is anyone interested, please let me know........I wou;d love to help out and swap stories:thumbup:
