After waiting 5 months for a fill (Doc's fluro broken) I go in and the barium showed that my pouch has streched a bit.:biggrin: She gave me a .5cc fill and said that if I eat very small portions that it should go down. Anyone have any other ideas???:confused2: Thanks

I am not at 193......! Starting weight was 230. I can weigh now at night and am still under 200 for the last 2 weeks. So I can say that I am in wonderful onederland !!!!!!!!! I am still fighting the sinus problem but with the .5 unfill :<( I can eat and drink good. Hope everyone is doing well. I know that the holidays are coming up and it is going to be so different this year. Not getting to eat all the wonderful food that I am used to. I can't wait to get my Christmas outfit. My 3x vest and shirt is SO way to big!!!!!!:whoo: I am in XL now!!!!!! :clap2: Thanks for ya'll being here to listen. ALso how to I go and change my ticker?????????

I can say that I was so upset about the hair loss. Everyone kept saying that it would come back. Well it did!!!!!! My hair is the only thing that I do like about myself. Just hang in there!!!

Hi there. I now have 2.5cc in my 4cc band. I have been soooo very tight. Also I have a sinus thing going on now and now sure on what to do. I have lost 8#s 3 days, cannot get much down over the course of the day. Not even Water. My fill was 5 days ago. My big question is,,,, how long does it take for a fill to relax a bit. This was my first one that I had to pay for and I sure do not want to pay to have it taken out. I am just trying to ride it out. I am on new nose spray for the sinus stuff and hope that the drainage will stop soon. Also I now have acid reflux every night. I have not had it since my sx 1-19-07. I have forgetten how much it hurts. If anyone has any tips I would love to hear them.

I just opened my gifts from my parents and got a Oster Blender and food processor combo!!!!!!!!! Also got a new pink night shirt and robe to take to Dallas for my surgery!!!!!!!!!! Hi there to all. I am not a very good bandster. I am in a slump that I can't seem to shake. I am losing the same weight. I lose 5 and then gain it back, lose it again and gain it back. I have had trouble with fills and am only at 1.5 in a 4 cc band. My question is that if I get more of a fill will I see more of the losing and less of the gaining. I can say that I have not made all the right choices but I am so way better that I was pre band. Also I am down from a 24-26w to 18-16w. Total #'s lost is 30 in 9.5 months. I cannot see it and my family is not seeing changes anymore. I do not know what to do and I am just typing out loud. THANKS FOR ALL HERE!!!!!!!!!!

Hey there fellow bansters. I just wanted to share my news. I hit 196 this morning!!!!! I have been back and forth with the 200 mark for months. Not that I have a GREAT fill I am seeing weight loss. Hope everyone is doing well. Now if I can just remember how to change my ticker.

I had my fill today at the Calhoun Clinic!!!! I got 1cc added to my 1.3cc that was in my 4cc band. Rita Zuber does the fills and I just love her. She has been my doc for several years now and she has the band herself.

Well with the right Doc & 1 stick I am back to 1.5 cc in my 4 cc band. He pull out less than a cc so that is why I could eat almost anything. So far in a week I have lost 6 of the 8 pounds I gain back!!!!! Now that the weather as cooled off I am starting my walking program back. I will get another fill first of Nov to put me back to where I should have been.

Hi there. I am such a hard time getting filled. I have been twice in the last 2 weeks, 12 sticks, several different needles and done under fluro with not luck. I am SOOOOOOOOO bummed out. I can eat almost what I want and I know that I should not. I was unfilled last time by mistake and I am nothing in my band according to the barium swallow. Another doc is coming Oct 4th to try to hit my port. If that does not work I so do not know what I am going to do. Thanks for listening.

I am going again tomorrow for a different doc to see if he can hit it. I am at my wits end. I now can eat whatever I want and having used up all my will power this summer I fear that I will be back where I started. I will give up tomorrow evening.

I just wanted to share. I had my band in Jan 07. I have lost 29 lbs. Have cut my metformin pills in half, no heartburn or reflux. I was wearing a 44D and a 24/26. Now I am a 40C!!!!!! and this past weekend all I wore were size 16!!!!!!!!!!! It felt great. Everyone at the dog show I was at were amazed. Plus I ran the courses of agility the best I have ever done!!!!!!!!:whoo: My band might be slower than most but I sure am reaping in the rewards!!!!!!!! Thanks for being here and letting me share.

I just have to share something. Today for the first time since highschool I bought a "C" cup bra!!!!!!!!!! We are talking at least 22 years!!!!!! I am so very pleased. Even if the scale is not going down as fast as I thought it would but I get jazzed when something like this happens! Thanks for being here.

Hi there to all! I have been so busy this summer. Sorry for not checking in. Thanks Sunshine for PMing me. I have not been a very good bandster. I have lost some weight and inches but it would be more if I was better with my diet. I do PB alot and it is because I am eating so way to fast and cannot seem to be able to stop myself. Due to an unplanned unfill I have been having to use will power. Of course if I had much I would not be here. I hope to get a fill soon. My doc here at home is going to be getting a floru in a few weeks then she will be doing fills!!!!:whoo:!!!!! I can't wait. Better than having to drive to Dallas and back in one day. Also I have not been on a very good excersice program since I am sooooo busy at work and have to keep up my 3 acre yard. I run out of time in the day. I am going to try to find some time somewhere!!!!:straight!!!!! On a up note I have cut my Metformin dose in 1/2 and only have to take it at night!!!!:clap2:!!!! Have not had to take a Rolaid or Maloxx since my surgery!!!!:clap2:!!! Those to things alone make this all so worth it. I hope that with I get my next fill and get to a Sweet spot I will see the scale drop. This gaining and then losing the same 5-6 pounds is very discouraging. Glad to see everyone doing so good. Will check in more often.!!!!!!!!

I can not believe it. For the first time in 13 years I am under 200.:faint: It is 199 but I am at 199 at bed time!!!!!!!! :whoo: For me that is different than in the morning. I also have lost 19.25 inches total and can wear a scrub shirt that is a 14-16. I am just shocked.:clap2: I am jazzed by watching the scale go down and am better at watching what I eat!!!!!!!:hungry: I just wanted to share.:eek: Now if I just can change my ticker I will be better.

Hi there to all. It has been a very long time since I was here. The band is good. I have had 2 fills and the 3rd one was a unfill. Not on purpose. The Doc took out my fills to see what I had and best I can guess that he did not refill it before my fill. So I was at 2 cc's they took out 2 and only put in 1cc. A wasted trip to Dallas and back. It was a 13 hour turn around trip. I have lost 23.5 pounds and 16.5 inches so far. My meds are cut in half and I have not had to take a Tums, Rolaid or Maalox since the surgery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No more acid reflux or heartburn!!!!!!!!!!! My working out kinda stopped. This is a very busy time for me at work and with 3 acres to mow and keep up is taxing my time. I am been able to wear shirts that I have not worn for years and had to give up so shorts because my friend said they were way to baggy. I hope to get back to working out and get my fill back. Hope everyone is doing good and I am glad to be back on the group!!!!

It is killing me to get under 200!!!!!!! I have got down to 205 and have stalled. I know that with my next fill that I want to be tight. I am really tight in the mornings through lunch then it seems to be wide open in the afternoon and evenings. I want that morning tightness all day. 6#'s to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi there to all. I wanted to share my 3 month update. I am down 20#'s and 11 inches:) . Clothes are looser.:clap2: Rings are looser or fit now for the first time in 2 years:clap2: . I have had 2 fills. First one 1.5 and second .5. I do not feel any different after the second. I have to go to Dallas and back in one day for each fill:faint: .....That is a bummer but the first 4 are free. By the time I would need more my regular Doc here in town who is also one of my clients (I am a dog groomer) will have been cert. for fills!!!! Family and clients that have not seen me in a couple of months say they can see a difference. I have to trust that because by my looking I do not see any. Thanks for listening.:clap2:

I was wondering if anyone has gone through a stomach bug with their band?? I think that I am coming down with something and it scares me. I know that we are not supposed to throw up. I do not know on what to expect. I am taking anti nasuea meds and on Clear liquids.

Don't beat yourself up. I too am having a hard time learning signs and eating right. I PB more than I should and slime even more. I also can eat more than I should. I go for my second fill next week. I hope that it will help me more. I do not drink diet coke anymore. I quit it way back in Oct. Good luck.

I am taking the Phengren liquid so I do not throw up. So far it is working. I got a rx of it the day of surgery 1-19-07. This is the first time I have had to use it. I hope that this will be short lived.

I bought the same Health 0 meter at Walmart. It does really good and was only $20.

I had the same problem. My doc put me on a Z pak for 3 days. I had a low grade fever day before and day of but my chest x-ray was clear and white blood cell count was normal. Thank god for the meds or my band would have been put on hold. Call your doc and get the meds. I came home with the worst cough ever. I took liquid meds day and night to keep from coughing as much. Made it tough when your tummy is sore and swollen.

OMG!!! 62 pounds!!!!!!!! That is GREAT!!!! I was banded the same day and am only down 15. Great job. At this pace you should me your goal in time! Congrats:clap2:
