i should start by saying i regret this stupid band and wish i had just started some routine/lifestyle change. on occasions, like when i weigh myself i start to think maybe it was worth it and im just feeling discouraged. then i come on here and see people who were banded the same week as me (july 18th- july 24th) and see they are loosing so much weight! ive lost about 13lbs but im seeing people loosing much more! of course everyone's body is different but not for nothing, im 22 yrs old and was always told my metabolism should be like a speeding bullet. so why is it that 40 yr olds are loosing weight faster than me? band date- 7-21

1- i barely drink the Protein shakes. ive tried 6 and they all make me gag horribly. the smell, the tast, just everything about it and i KNOW im supposed to have 70-80 grams a day. 2-i can drink a lot, fast. other people i notice sip drinks, i can finish a bottle of Water in about 3 gulps. im always thirsty and am always drinking. 3-i can eat a larger ammount than i thought i was supposed to be able to handle. for isntance, i can egg a whole boiled egg, a yogurt, and a 5 oz can of chicken (like the tuna) and finally feel full. im only on stage 2 (pureed foods) and am sure i should only be able to eat about 2-3oz but im soo hunger i eat more..til im full. so shouldn't i get full way before i finish all of that? i was banded on 7/21 by the way. anyone have some insight into this or had the same issues? feedback is def. appreciated. =]

i was banded on 7/21 and am obviously on clear liquids. in my book, they have 4oz of varioud liquids each hour but im SOOOOOOO thirsty! i would do anything to drink an entire cup of water. i still cannot tell when i am full being that im still in some pain from the surgery, my entire middle area just feels wrong. is there a such thing as drinking too much during the first week?

mine was painful. im not sure how everyone had such a smooth experience but i had mine on wednesday and im finally feeling a bit better today, its sunday. there was a lot of gas, the wounds did hurt a bit and the tylenol takes affect so fast i felt like i was high or something. hopefully it gets better but my experience wasnt as pleasant as everyone else seems to have had. -
