I have been contumplating have a weight loss surgery for several years. I have been heavy my whole life and struggled to get much weight off as it always comes back plus about 10 extra pounds. About 7 years ago I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)... It is extreamly hard to lose weight with this as your body is fighting against you every step of the way but, if you can get weight off the symptoms improve and a lot of times go away. That would be a huge goal of mine is to get the PCOS gone and maintain a healthier lifestyle. I dont believe that it is going to be easy but I do think that it will be a great tool in helping me achieve weight loss that I need to happen. My biggest fear of all of it is having surgery and being put under as heavy as I am right now. I am trying to convince myself that I am taking a risk daily to myself by being as heavy as I am and that being put under for 30 min to an hour could significantly change the rest of my life.I have not set a surgery date as of now because I have an exclusion in my insurance policy and I am waiting to save some money to put down before I take on a huge monthly payment through financing. I would love to hear your stories and words of encouragement in hopes to ease my fears about being put under and success stories..
