He is really, really good. My scars will be very unnoticable. He sutures from the inside and uses surgical crazy glue on the outside to hold the wound closed. It has a better result of a scar. It was a perfect experience. The only thing that happened was I threw up after surgery, but I always get like that after surgery of any kind. Audree

I felt the worse the 1st three days too, but it got sooooooooooooo much better. I have no pain now in any way. I am so happy I did it! You will feel so too, just give it about a week. Also, the anesthesia can make you feel really out of it mentally and physcially. Audree

Appetite suppresants during liquid diet
BabyGotBack replied to tammyj's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I bought it from my chinese herbalist, but you can check the site http://www.goldvitamins.com/quickslim30.htm I used them pre band and it worked better for me than any prescription appetite control pill! Audree -
Yeah, the Chinese Herbalist thing is worth trying. They do things a lot different then they do here. They look at your eyes, tongue, hands, blood pressure, so many different things. I had a hormonal imbalance that he addressed. Keep us posted to let us know how you are doing!!!! Audree

Thanks!! I actually like where I am at and am guessing that this is what the "sweet spot" would feel like. Audree

I bought some Kellogg's Protien water and they have 5 grms of protein. They are designed to use between meals to curb appetite, since protein curbs appetite naturally. It worked for me pre band on my pre op diet!!! Audree

It seems like the Audrey Heburn syle is coming back! I have a 19 year old step daughter who is very on top of hair and fashion. I guess Christina Aguillera is bringing it back. I love that time period. Audrey Hepburn was so elegant. Audree

Where did you lose first?
BabyGotBack replied to timeforchange's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I lose from top to bottom first too! Audree -
Hey Susantunanoodle!!!!! Isn't Dr. Ortiz and his staff GREAT!!!! That homemade chicken broth at the Lucerna spoiled me!!! It was soooooo good!!!!!!! My gas was not as bad as some since I barfed most of it out after surgery!!!! That was the grossest thing!!!!! Make sure you have your heating pad for gas pain. I am scheduling my 6 week fill for Feb. 16, Valentine weekend! I am going to stay for the weekend. I heard somewhere that if they know you are staying overnight, they will be a little more aggresive in the fill since you can easily come in for an unfill immediately. I want to get to the sweet spot or maintain the sweet spot I currently am experiencing!!!! Anyone else around my surgery date want to meet up on Valentines weekend for dinner or something??? Audree
-
Thanks!!! I had a false start too on Dec. 18 and then finally got my surgery Jan. 5, 2007. I just used the time to get my stuff together and get as prepared mentally as I could. These boards have been invaluble to me! I have learned so much! Audree

My friend who has been banded a year says pms, premenstrual time, morning, evening, and stress make her band tight. Also, not drinking enough water. If you rings are tight, your band is tight.
