I am so happy to hear we are all having good experiences!!! You are definitely a million bucks!!! Don't forget your water or even crystal light. It will keep you from bad hunger pangs. I also bought some ScarZone to rub into my scars when they healed.

I am glad I could be of help!!! What is a little extract? To add to the shake? If you are on liquid like me, I bought Suger Free Fudgsicles, V8, creamy soups, Tortila soup mix just add water, drinkable yogurt, Myoplex protein shakes, Nectar protein shakes (bariatriceating.com) in Fuzzy Navel which tastes like Tang and Strawberry Kiwi.

GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:clap2:

Congrats!!! You are now in Bandland!!! I vomitted too. Did you feel like when you were vomitting, forceful gas was coming out of your mouth?? I did, but to look on the bright side, I didn't have the shoulder gas or really bad gas like I hear. I think a lot of it was expelled when I threw up twice after surgery. :clap2:

You may want to edit your message and put Any swedish bansters???? The title is not clear so that is why I think no one responded. You can also do a search on swedish bands and private message them.!! Hope that helps!

immediate post op diet....help
BabyGotBack replied to truluv2329's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have a full 3 weeks post op diet, of creamy soups, protein drinks, etc. I am sticking to it. My surgeon has done over 4000 and has been doing bands since they came out like over 10 years ago is it? He revised his rules and after all he has seen and experienced with his patients, these are his guidelines now. I bought his book and the rules wdre not as restrictive before. So, if he got stricter, it is for a reason and I don't want to lose my band. I just want to know I gave it my all and don't want to blow money since i am a self payer -
One Week Post op and Feeling good!
BabyGotBack replied to TxChick50's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
YEEEAAHHH! I know how you feel! I am 2 weeks post op and feel normal again. The only way I know I am banded is I can't drink more than 1 cup, even less sometimes. I never knew it would be so easy!!! -
You are on the right track with the hobbies. I have heard that picking up a craft that uses the hands was good. I for one ,use this site to de-stess. I also hope to use exercise as a de-stress as it releases endorphins, etc. I just need to take one step at a time to exercise like I used to. I used to love how I felt. I went to the gym the for the first time in a long time yesterday. My mom is meeting me 3 times a week to help me. I am also going to buy and Ipod and put all my all time favorite tunes to get me going. They say it takes 30 days to break or start a habit. Also, being banded is wonderful, but also like a breakup or divorce. Things will never be the same and it is hard to see that things will be better than they ever were before because we are morning. There is no going back now. Our band will keep us from going back. Don't be so hard on yourself. I love this quote "I may not be who I want to be, but thank God, I am not who I used to be". We are a work in progross. Everyday we are evolving like a catepillar becoming a butterfly. Metamorphasis is not easy and down right painful at times. If you look back, you will see how many steps you have taken in the right direction. A journey of a thousand miles starts with one step. They are baby steps, but they add up!!!

WOW!!!! DID I SEE 30 POUNDS LOST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You go girl! That is awesome!!!!

I am wondering if he gave me a slight fill, I doubt it though. I am so restricted, I can't even drink 1 cup of coffee or liquid and i am 2 weeks post op. I am making an appointment for a fill at the 6 week point, but if I don't need it, I may not. I have trouble getting my calories in. I still have not weighed in either. I am scared too. I didn't lose any weight pre op. My clothes are fitting loser though. When do you go for a fill?? How are you doing? I miss talking to you!!!

Has LBT helped or hindered your success?
BabyGotBack replied to StephC's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
LBT has been a HUGE suppport to me. I found and decided on Dr. Ortiz through this site. I don't think I'd be banded and doing so well if not for LBT. It is like therapy for me. I have met wonderful people, just like me who understand me. I am the type of person who needs a daily checking in for what I am doing, accountability and having a "diet" buddy helps me tremedously. Thank you to all who answered my post and helped me along the way!!! I am eternally grateful to you all!!! -
You and I sound EXACTLY the same!!! I had a personal trainer too and would eat more because I was burning so much. I would eat healthy too, just too much of it since I am, or was:clap2: a volume eater. I also had a bottomeless pit! Not anymore. Bandy is making sure I get no more than 1 cup at a time even with out a fill! I cant even have more than 1 cup of coffee.

Hey I think Brandy is cute!! Bandy and Brandy can be cousins!! I will start the South Beach Challenge next Saturday. That is when I start solids/mushies. Anyone can jump on in!!!
-
You are going to be a supermodel!!!! Taller is better because you can weigh more and get away with it and still look skinny! I am not weighing either. Some people say they actually gain like 10-15 pounds after surgery from swelling, water retention, etc and that is one roller coaster I don't want to get on. Also, you gain a little when you go on solids so I think I will gauge by my clothes, which are fitting loser. I will weigh in after I start solids. I would rather be surprised than disappointed.

I was banded the same day as another patient and she is purreeing enchiladas and tamales!!!! A big no no from our nutrionist. I have also heard if you tell them you have low energy and are starving, they may let you add some other foods. I am getting used to the convenince of liquids. I also have one more week of liquids, so we can do it together! I am sticking to his rules just because i wouldn't want something bad to happen to my Bandy! Also, I know I will lose weight following his rules. My friend says she is not losing weight, but if you are eating enchiladas, tamales and other high calorie/fat foods, you will not lose because the calories add up.

I have not heard from Sunshine2. She used her computer from work to post most of the time. But, I am sure she will post from home when she can. You are almost in Bandland!!!!:clap2:

I get this feeling like i am full to my throat and if I take 1-2 small bites over, I get nauseous. I also make sure I put my liquid or spoon down in between bites and try to see how i feel. I am also trying to stop at content and these days that is easy since I am not hungry like I used to be. i also find if I get my liquids in, constantly sipping, I am not too hungry.

I LOVE IT!!! The 60 rule!!!
-
My doctor has a full 3 weeks of liquids. I am full after 1 cup of creamy soup or even coffee. I just get this feeling like i am full up to my throat, like it will back up on me. I also get nauseous if I have 1-2 even small bites past full. I have heard that pressure at the ribcage is full. Anything past and you might PB so I would be to scared to go past that. I am sure full for me will feel different after I start solid/mushies in a week. I almost pb'd on soup and it was HORRIBLE!!! I felt extremely nauseous like I wanted to throw up and was salivating a lot. I hated it!
-
That is funny!!!! We are truely becoming bonded by banding!!! I really enjoyed the chocolate Myoplex. It is chocolatey, but not too chocolatey and it has no protein after taste. It tastes pretty smooth. One is 17 oz and it takes me 3 times to finish one, so all day! They come in 4 packs, but I bought a case from Sams. :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:
-
How are you doing??
-
I am struggling too to get enough in. Who ever would have thought, certainly not me!! I barely get like 700-800 calories in if I have to be out of the house. The only way I have hit 1000 calories is if I am home eating all day.I can only take 1 cup of liquid before hitting a place that I know I will start to feel nauseous. I did it again last night trying to get some creamy split pea in because I needed the calories. I took two more bites over and got a little nauseous and knew I HAD to stop. I love my band!
-
The way I have been getting most of my protein is by creamy split pea soup. I can is 18 grams of protein. Also, adding 1 cup soy milk to my coffee (breakfast for me these days). I have a lot of restriction still 2 weeks post op. I can have even less than a cup if it is cold. Beans and lentils pureed also have a lot of protein and adding shredded cheese.
-
I bought a lot of samples of Nectar Protein drinks. They are fruity and taste really good so far. You can buy them on bariatriceating.com I bought Fuzzy Navel. It tastes like Tang. I bought Strawberry Kiwi and mixed with Silk vanills soy it tastes like a milk shake, even frothy. I havent tried the other ones yet, bought like 8 samples. I like the Myoplex shakes. They are good and have 43 grams of protein for one. I'd buy Slim fast for convenience, but they give me gas. I heard they have come out with some new ones that don't give gas, but I haven't seen them. I do notice a difference in my pants feeling looser. I just am afraid to weigh myself.
-
Your clothes won't be tight for long!!! My pants are definitely getting looser by the day!! Your band baby will be born in 13 days!!!:clap2:
