Our stats sound the same. I started at 190 and my goal is about 135! I am 5'5. How tall are you?
-
I am sooooo happy for you!:clap2: My kids thought mommy had the tummy bug and gas.:faint: I also feel so liberated.

Good Morning Sunshine2!!! I laid around too , a lot in the beginning, but I thing I needed it. I felt kinda guilty about it at the time, but I am a ball of energy now, even started going to the gym! Just listen to you body, if it says rest, then that is okay. Don't forget to get your 64 ounces in. I went to a support group yesterday and the ladies were all on me about not getting the 64 ounces in. I am very restricted still and they said that you get tight if your body is dehydrated. One lady needed a complete unfill from not getting her water in. For some reason it makes the stomach swell. But since I don't have a fill yet, I would have no unfill option and they said that could be dangerous!!! You better believe I drank all my water yesterday. I also met a lady who lost 130 pounds in a little over a year. She also said she drank a lot of water. She looks great!!!

Man, you are set!!!!! Good job. Do you have your heating pad? Kelloggs protein water is nice at this time, doing double duty, so you can get in the protein and water intake at the same time. Cyrstal light, jello... I had surgery on Friday and had to drive part of the way home on Sunday. I don't know if that is the right thing to do, but my mom was falling asleep at the wheel!:faint:

I love it!!! I will be true to my Bandy!!!

Yes, she said she exercised a lot. She mostly had a cup of coffee with milk for breakfast, a Lean Cuisine type meal for lunch and a yogurt for dinner, most of the time. She said she didn't cheat much. I was reading on another post, that even if you don't have restriction before your first fill, that we are all professional dieters and should "diet" per se, during that time. Instead of eating away, we should watch what we eat and try to maintain at least, not gain. I did this to lose weight. Not gain, not really slow. I have to understand that it is up to me what I put in my mouth. I have always done very well on the South Beach diet. When I start solids this Saturday, I am going to begin doing South Beach. The problem is when I didn't see results doing it in the past, due to my gigantic portions, I would lose hope and binge on junk food. This time it is different!!!!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

11 days post op and weird bump under incision - help
BabyGotBack replied to KLo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It also may be scar tissue. I had a tummy tuck and had that hardness under the incsision. You have to massage the scar out. -
Good night bandsters!! I hope the site is working tomorrow!

I went to a support group today and met a woman who had lost 130 pounds in a little over a year. Her before and afters were amazing. She did it by following the bandster rules 100%! It was exciting to see someone up close and personal.
-
No problem! I am not offended!:biggrin1: It is okay to ask questions. I did it also because I was on another binge and was probably going to go back up in the 200's if I didn't catch it with the band. My doctor, Dr. Ortiz was trained by your doctor!!! I am feeling great!

I was there one night and discharged in the morning. I was put under.

Where is everyone?

She looks amazing!! I saw her before pics too and it was night and day. She did say she followed the bandster rules 100%. She did have some surgery which is to be expected. I plan to follow her in footsteps. I have asked her to email exactly what she did and I will post it here!
-
Thanks Bandiva!!! I will make sure I let you know when I weigh. I think I will wait till I start solids! I don't know why I am scared. I think I don't want to be disapointed!

Did anyone have trouble loggin in on saturday? I couldn't log in at all till the evening!!! I also went to a support group here in Rancho Cucamonga, and there was a girl there who inspired me!!!! She had lost 130 pounds in a little over a year and looked AMAZING!!!!!!!! She was pretty strict with her eating. She said she didn't mess around and that is why she got such good results. She had her main meal at lunch and a light dinner. She also exercised a lot.

I have had to switch once like that. The way I did it is my hair stylist couldn't fit me in and I told her I needed to get it done, so I had to make an appointment with another stylist. After, i just told her that I really liked the way the new stylist cut my hair. It is part of the business.

With Dr. Ortiz I get three weeks of liquids. In the beginning I used Wolfgang Pucks Gourmet broth, Better Than Boullion, drinkable yogurt, creamy Soups, Myoplex pre made protien, Vitamin Water, Kelloggs Protein water, nectar Protein powder, V8 to name some off the top of my head!!
-
I actually posted the whole plan on this thread. If you look through the thread about a week ago, you will have it all!!! It is actually the way we are suppposed to eat as bansters and some lapband doctors actually advise it since it falls in the bandster rules!
-
I don't regret if for a second! For the first time in my life, I am not a slave to food and dieting anymore. The peace it has brought me is priceless. I was going to do "one more diet" before getting banded, but I knew in my heart, I would gain it back, AGAIN!!!! I didn't want to play that game yet another time! GO FOR IT GIRL!!!!!

Anyone have problems loggin in today, saturday? I couldn't log in all day until the evening?

Congrats!!! I am having the same problems of getting enough protein and water since two weeks post op I am still very restricted. I sip all day on liquid or else I can not get the liquid in. I use cream soups with high protein like cream splite pea, soy milk in my coffee for breakfast, drinkable yogurt. I have to be eating all day to get the amounts in.
-
Thanks!! I am drinking the Myoplex and it is pretty good. I also have the Nectar protein which is good too.
-
Welcome to bandland!!!! I am glad you are doing okay! Get all the rest you can and don't forget to drink liquids. I went to a support group today and they were emphasizing that mamy get dehydrated which makes them hav too much restriction and then they have needed to get an unfill.
-
WOW!!! That is great! I had origningally wanted to get my MFT but also heard like you are saying, that you have more options getting the MSW. Thanks for the encouagement. I was supposed to start back around the time of my banding, but thought two life changes at the same time would be too much for me to handle. I am supposed to start registering for classes soon and have to talk to my counselor. Do you have any other advise for me??? We have so much in common! I so excited to meet you!!!
