My stomach was never really sore from the surgery. I did have gas pain in my stomach for about 3 days. The shoulder pain is gas too. The reason I didn't have such bad gas was because I threw up after surgery and when I was throwing up, gas was forcefully coming out of my mouth. It was so weird. Tylenol liquid helped me in the beginning. Also a nice heating pad on the stomach and shoulder. I used to lay on mine at night. My friend told me it took a month for all the gas to come out!

Hi! Congrats on the 28 pound weight loss!!! That is great! When did you get banded? I am GOING to start exercising on Monday. I need to keep telling myself that! How many calories are you having a day? I started using fitday.com to kinda give me and idea.

Cool! You can do some meal planning and be so ready in a few weeks! I am also using Fitday.com to make sure I am getting enough Protein and Water.

This is day 2 for me on solids and South Beach. I felt very tight in the morning so I had coffee for Breakfast. I think I didn't drink enough Water yesterday and it made me feel like someone was squeezing my stomach. This is what I ate so far: Breakfast: 1 cup of coffee with 1/2 cup plain soymilk (60 calories) Lunch: 2 crab cakes (370 calories) I will not be counting calories later as on the South Beach diet as you don't need to. But, I want to make sure I get 1200 calories a day. Once I know I am getting about that much and how much food it takes to get there, I will stop counting.

Today is day 2 of solids for me and I am feeling good! I felt very tight in the morning and had a coffee with plain soymilk. For lunch I had 2 moist crab cakes with a mayo can relish dip. I knew I was full when I felt like I needed to sit up and had to do like an inverted burp. Then I got a little twinge in my abdomen. I am trying to aim for 1200 calories a day. Even if on South Beach you don't have to count, I will count till I know how much I should eat because i don't want to under eat.

Breakfast: coffee with 1/2 cup of plain soymilk Lunch: 2 crab cakes with mayo/relish Snack: 2 string cheese Liquids: 24 ounces of Crystal Light, Supplements: 1 tbsp. Glacial Milk liquid vitamins I am making sure I am chewing a lot and swallowing a tiny bit at a time as I chew, chew, chew!!! I am aiming for 1200 calories.

That sounds like fun!! I used to do cardio kickboxing and loved it! I have heard to wait about 6 weeks because of all the turning and crunching may twist the port of bust a stitch.

I just kept sipping itty bitty drinks all day. Maybe a fruit pop? I also heard that apple cider vineger is supposed to help with acid. And aloe vera juice is supposed to help the irritation.

Welcome!!! You are doing awesome! The way you update the ticker is you go back to tickerfactory.com and if you didn't choose a code, choos one and update your stats. what are your new stats? Do you have any advise for me starting out on solids? Also, what do you think the daily caloric intake should be? I could in no way eat more than i did and it was only like at 800 or so. Thanks for joining!!! I love to have people who have been banded longer help us newbies out!!!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

My favorite was the steak since I had it marinated and then slow cooked with the mushrooms!!! MMMMMMMMMMMMM The fish sounds really good! I bought some fish too and will probably make some tomorrow!!

WHAT I ATE TODAY: Coffee with Splenda and 1 cup low carb soy 5 small bites of an egg, 1/4 cup of tuna with mayo, onion and tomato, 1 string cheese stick 1/2 cup of lean steak with mushrooms for dinner 1/4 cup black beans with melted cheddar cheese (Ate all with no problems; no pb's) Liquids: 24 ounces crystal light Supplements: 1 tbsp. Glacial Milk liquid vitamin My first day of solids and South Beach! I didn't feel hungry or deprived. I didn't have to count calories and I know I got a lot of protein in!! And it was all so good, tasty and satisfying. I feel like I ate so much today, but in reality I think it was like 800 give or take calories.
