As the swelling goes down, there is a lot less restriction. Right now I don't have a pouch since I havn'et had a fill yet. I think part of the reason I get full on 1 cup is I eat really slow and chew a ton! I don't ever have more than 1 cup and if I get full first, I don't push it. In the beginning, when I was restricted more, I could get full on 1/2 a cup till I would feel full to my throat kinda feeling. Right now I can eat any meat with no problem. When we get a fill though and have restriction, it is a whole new ball game. 1/2 cup to 1 cup only. Over 1 cup will stretch the pouch. Plus protein is a lot more filling than junk, and I have always eaten less when it is protein. White flour products like bread, chips, I am a bottomless pit. So, I am not going to have them. They really open up my hunger and make me feel out of control and sick!

Me too!! The band will help me stay consistent! I just have to get past these first days or weeks of feeling lazy to go to the gym. But, once it kicks in, I become obsessed about going. I'd go in the day and then if my husband would go again, I'd go at night too!!!

You can get the quickslim30 online. I think it is quickslim30.com It has no side effects.It has things in it to support weight loss, body functions and metabolism. Good Morning!! This is what I have eaten today! Water: 24 ounces with Just Lemon and 1 pk. Splenda Breakfast: 2 eggs, mushrooms, 1 slice of cheddar cheese, 1/2 tbl. Olive Oil, salsa I ate it and feel very satisfied. I could not eat more or else I'd feel sick. I am meeting my step daughter at the gym at 12:30. The thing is, my kids get out at 2:30 and the gym is by there school, so I can't just come back home. When I get to the gym, I have to stay there until I go get my girls. Maybe I'll go at 1pm. I want to do some light weights too. What are your goals??? Remember, Friday is our weigh in!!!

What helped me with my hunger pangs was to always be sipping on water and on the days I couldn't hang, I'd take a QuickSlim 30 to take the edge off. But for some reason I still have restriction. I am on solids now and can eat 1 cup of food at a time.

Hey guys!!! I am eating my breakfast right now. Breakfast:2 eggs, 4 mushroos and one slice of cheddar cheese. Lunch: mozerella stuffed chicken meatballs dipped in spaghetti sauce and hummus It is going good. I also got in my 24 ounces in the morning while taking my kids to school. I bough these little packets called Just Lemon and they are pure lemon crystals to add to water or food. I put two of those and one Splenda. I am going to meet my step daughter at the gym again at 12:30. If I didn't have someone to meet me,especially in these first days of getting restarted, I'd make some excuse and not go. My goals today::: 1. To eat 1200 calories 2. To go to the gym and have a good workout 3. To drink at least 64 ounces of liquids. Do you guys have any goals?? How are you today???

I remember doing those classes!! They were HARD!!!! I will have to get stronger to do that class or else I'd fall off the bike!!

You are doing so awesome!!! You are almost close to your goal too!!! I bet the dress will fit better than it did before!! I do the same thing where I get used to wearing certain clothes and to put on something different takes extra effort. I did a class a few months ago, cardio kickboxing, but I felt so out of breah and looked so rediculous in the mirrors. I couldn't even raisem y arms or legs up like the others. I looked commical and like I was going to pass out. Also my butt was jiggling so bad it hurt!!!:faint: I can't wait till I can do those classes again and feel comfortable. I used to to them a couple of years ago and did kickboxing, boxing it was so fun! I can't wait to be able to do that again!!! I am so physcially out of shape. I was so strong and in shape even if I was fat. Now I have to start all over again!!!

Yeah, I need to look into a ipod shuffle.I do have my cd player, so I should just use that for now. I remember walking once like that. I was so tired and I almost cried when I knew I had to walk back. There is an uphill trail by my kids school I used to do, 3 miles up and 3 miles down. And I still didn't lose weight cuz I ate to much!!!! I love the pool, jacuzzi, sauna...... too bad it's so cold out here in sunny California! It's supposed to rain.

I went to a support group where a lady was stressing to me that if I didn't get my 64 ounces of fluid, my band would swell. It happened to her and she had to get an unfill. But, she said on someone without a fill, if the band made you swell shut from being dehydrated and you couldn't get water down, they'd have to take off the band. So, I started drinking my water!!! I did notice I lost some restriction when I upped my water too. But, I can still only get 1 cup of food in at a time!

That is great!!! It is a whole new world when you don't feel sick from the surgery. The water is so important.I didn't know we could get dehydrated so easily until I went to a support group and they were on me about not getting in the 64 ounces. One lady had to have an unfill because she said when you are dehydrated your band swells. She couldn't get food down. Congrats on the weight loss!!!

I think I have read that people start with drinking some hot tea. The warmth opens up the stoma. Also if you drink cold water first, it closes it some. I was also banded by Dr. Ortiz!!! Did you alread get a fill or just get one? Is that why this is happening? I am just wondering since I am going to get my first fill Feb. 17. How many cc's did they put in?? Thanks!!!

I always did want to train for a marathon or something. Maybe once I get some stamina and build up my muscle.

I think the thing I like the best are the classes. I like to go with a workout partner too! I get bored on the treadmill and bike but at least they have tv's! I love to swim too! I just use it as "me" time. Sometimes I take a book too and read it while I am on the bike. I use it to think about my life, my goals, my plans, etc.

I did get to go to the gym for one hour, forty minutes on the treadmill and twenty on the bicycle. Breakfast: One egg with chedder cheese Lunch: South Beach chicken and green beans Snack: two string cheese Snack: yogurt dinner: smoked oysters Liquids: 44 ounces of crystal light I forgot my vitamins

No I have not had any type of tortilla, bread, crackers. On top of doing the South Beach, I am afraid!!! So, I am just going to steer clear of things I have heard can plug the stoma or cause me to PB.

I get an ache like that too when I am full. I guess I feel stressed because on another group there is someone there that wrote a manual for patients and doctors regarding the band. And she stresses to get in at least 1200 or else it can affect your weight loss, metabolism, etc. I only had like 900 calories today and can't eat anymore. Or else I'd get sick. I remember doing this pyramid diet and you could only have 1200 calories.I remeber feeling like I was dying of starvation and could not stay on it!!! Who would have thought I'd be struggling to get in 1200!!! What a problem we have!!!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

You will be okay. I have been under so many times! I had a tummy tuck, 2 c-sections, the lapband... They also gave me pain meds in my IV before surgury so when I woke up I was not in pain!

That sounds beautiful!!! Walking as soon as possible is what I wish I would have done. I got so lazy. It was hard to get up and go today. But, once there I was fine.
