Congrats on doing so great!:clap2: I need to get my butt moving with the exercise. I bought a 32 ounce bottle and drink one in the early part of the day and one the 2nd part of the day at least. This has helped a lot. South Beach definitely helped me with cravings and weight too.

In the beginning I didn't eat because I was not hungry, and made myself eat healthy proteins for energy. Then I was able to eat anything, but since I was on the South Beach diet, I did eat as much as I wanted and did and maintained, no gain or loss. I went out and had a big carne asada burrito with cheese and beans with salsa about 3 times and fell completely off for a few days. But, I got back on the bandwagon with a renewed commitment to healthy eating when I got filled yesterday. If you are not hungry, we still need to eat something 3 times a day or we can get weak and cause our bodies to go into starvation mode making it even harder to lose weight. I don't eat late since I hear people have acid reflux when they lay down. If I am hungry, I would drink crystal light. I went to Dr. Ortiz yesterday and got my first fill and was put on 3 days of liquid. I did stop at Chili's and had some tortilla soup, chewed the beans really well and did get full on very little.

I was reading a really interesting thread "Life after the Removal of the Lap Band". They were all discussing if they had learned a secret to maintain the weight after the removal of the lapband. They talked a lot about the moment when it "clicks". Here was my response. I thought it would be great to see what people had learned about their eating habits, learning the secret, but with the band in place: For me, and I am not banded yet, I have tried to take a little of every new way of eating and apply it to the way I eat daily. My body has gotten used to it and if I don't eat low carb, I actuallly feel sick! I can't deny myself when I want something or else I will binge and have way more. I try to eat when i am hungry and stop when I am full. The problem is, I can eat a lot! So, even if it is a salad, I can eat a huge salad! I cut out soda, drink mostly Water, Crystal light. I try to not eat fast food more than 2-3 times a week. I also try to eat fruit when i have a sweet tooth. I try to get some type of exercise every day. And if I mess up, I just pick up eating healthier the next meal not the next day. I used to just throw in the towel and blow the diet and just eat badly. I try to keep busy which keeps me distracted so I don't eat when i am bored. I am not heavy because i am an emotional eater, I juat can really pack it away. Last night I think my husband really understood when he stopped when he was full and I passed him up, kept on eating and was finally full. This is what I do to maintain my weight between 180-190. If I didn't keep these rules, I'd be in the 200's again. I am so excited about the band and I can't wait to have another great tool!!! Audree:scared: <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

I was told by my chinese herbalist to use a shampoo that has garlic and aloe vera. I have been using it and notice that harly no hair falls out now as it always did when I washed my hair. It leaves no odor either.

I just wanted to check in! I had my first fill today. Dr. Romero at OCC put in 1.2 cc's and said I should feel restriction like right after surgery. He said he thought I wouldn't need to come back for 8 weeks or not at all. I have to do 3 days of liquids too. I do feel restriction with my water again like I did right after sugery, so I am happy!!!

I got my fill today. I got 1.2 cc's. I was told to stay on liquids for 3 days. My husband drove in to Mexico instead of parking at the border. It didn't hurt either. It was a little poke. No big deal. I went to Chili's and I had some Soup. I was full pretty quick. Dr. Romero said I'd be restricted like I was after surgery. When do you go for your fill??

I am so proud of you!!!!!!!!!!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: I still have not re started and kept it up! I have done it for a few days, then not,then start, then stop. I have my Ipod programmed now and have no excuses!!!! HELP ME!!!!!!

My goal for my first year is to take off the rest of my weight, 35 pounds!!! And keep it off!!!!! I have been at a standstill for these past 2 weeks, but I see it as a major positive because in the past, if I had chinese, or mexican food, I'd gain like 5 pounds over night!!!!! I have only fluctuated .5 (1/2 a pound) Now I have to start working out again. I have slacked off and make an excuse every day why I can't do it! I have my Ipod set and still don't!!! I need the energy so I need to do it!!!!!

I have my days when I eat more. I just feel like my stomach shrank or something. I have had chinese food and could only eat about 1 1/2 cups of food. I eat a lot less than I could before. I get physically uncomfortable. Then other days, especially when I keep busy, I don't eat as much. I know the QuickSlim30 helps me because i can tell I am a lot hungrier when I don't take it. I also find if I eat a bigger dinner one day, I am a lot less hungry the next day. I am going back to Mexico for my fill. I am about 2 hours from the border. I will let you guys know how it goes!!!!

I haven't had my fill yet so I am not sure. I only felt like you describe if I ate a little too much.

I was messing up for a few days, the days I was not checking in... Today I have had tuna, almond, 1 string cheese. 32 ounces of crystal light 1 tbsp. liquid vitamin, 1 Biotin, 1 QuickSlim30 No exercise today. I need to be accountable for the exercise thing. Please help me guys. When i check in I keep on track, so I can't get to busy that I don't at least check in once a day. Did you guys miss me??

Thanks!!!! The days I was not on here, I ate of the Beach!! :omg: I do so much better when I have someone to answer to. I have not lost weight for the last two weeks. I am hoping that the fill will get things moving again. What are some of your favorite South Beach meal ideas??? I love my iPod and have still not gotten to workout with it yet. Crazy week!! But, I want to start a workout challenge for myself and anyone else who wants to join. I just thought that we could just choose to do 1 type of exercise a day, i give myself 5 choices to choose from. Then, be accountable to you guys.

I had it done about 3 years ago. I had gone from 240 to 145 two times and new arms were like gum, and hanging down. You have to wear an arm garment for 6 weeks which was uncomfortable, but I think I should have shopped around for one I liked better. My stiches tore open on one arm and I had to have it fixed. The scarring is not pretty. I gets better after a few years. But looks better than the bat wings. I plan on getting micro derm abrasion or some sort of scar treatment one day. But, I am glad I did it. It is hard when you have little ones like I did. Also, massaging of the scars helps a lot. It hurts like hell though. Hope this helps!

Welcome! I have been eating some things in moderation, but off the beach for a few days. I am getting a fill on Wednesday so I am going to get back on the beach 100%. I notice when I am not on the boards for support I don't do as well. I definitely have to check in here everday!!! I have maintained my weight loss for the last 2 weeks and am happy about that. I know you can't just lose every week. I also have been messing with my new Ipod too get it all ready for my new workout challenge!!!! So, who's with me? I need your daily support to do this!!

Check in!! I have been messing with my new Ipod so I have not been on like I usually am! I am doing good, maintaining my weight. I have been eating some other foods in small quantities, foods I know I won't be able to eat after I get filled on Wednesday. Dr. Ortiz is aggressive with his fills I hear. I plan on getting back on the Beach on Wednesday. With my new Ipod I plan on getting my workouts to the next level. How is everyone?
