I went for my first fill on Wednesday. It didn't hurt and they put in 1.2 cc's in my 4 cc band. We drove into Mexico no problem. Dr. Romero pulled out the air, put saline in and asked if I could feel it. Then did my fill. He said I would feel pretty good restriction and could come back in 8 weeks.

That sounds good. I'd rather be able to eat than be too tight, as long as we are losing weight right? I had 1 cup of lentils and feel pretty full.

I know my PMS symptoms were worse and had worse cramps. Losing weight is very stressful on the body. I am glad to hear you are doing well! Do your clothes fit better? I didn't weigh myself till 4 weeks out and only weigh on Fridays.

I just listen to my body, but stick to the bandster rules of protein first then vegies. I have a coffee with soy milk or Carnation Breakfast

Do you feel restriction? Like after surgury or different? I am on day 3 of liquids and don't know how solids are for me yet!

I was also put on liquids for 3 days. Today is my third. I have noticed that some were able to have mushies that day and solids the next day. I have heard two reasons for the liquid diet after a fill. One said to get the weight moving again and to let the stomach adjust to being messed with. I did have some Tortilla soup a few hours after the fill and chewed the beans and corn really well. I did get full really fast and had an uncomfortable feeling in my chest like I hadn't felt even after sugery. I had hummus yesterday afternoon and could have only a little and had some pressure in my chest. We are all different though. If you must, I think I'd test it out with beans at home first or something mushy to see how that goes. You don't want to ruin your night out with getting sick and pbing. I remember going out one night and not wanting to because i knew I could not eat and felt it wasn't even worth it, but then I thought how sad that my life revoved around food so much and I knew I had to change my mentality. I try to focus more on the company now and enjoy all the other aspects of going out. There still are some yummy things we can eat. I was able to eat anything. But now that I have a fill, I have to test all foods out all over again. Hope you have a good time!

Hi!!! For the weight ticker, go to tickerfactory.com and just follow the directions. Copy and paste the first selection from img to img and then go to User Cp on the top right hand corner and paste it into your signiture line. I just got my first fill yesterday and am on liquids for 3 days so I am not sure. I was tight after surgery in the morning so breakfast was just coffee with soymilk. Hope that helps!

My fill didn't hurt either. I just got 1.2 cc's yesterdy in a 4 cc band. If they gave you a card, it should say on there. I am supposed to do 3 days liquids. I also would like to lose 8-10 a month.

Your doc will know best. Maybe we don't get swollen with a fill like surgery. I have restriction but don't feel swollen like after surgery.

I also married a man like that and we are going on 12 years of marriage. He met me heavy and watched me lose and gain over and over and over again. From 240 to 145 twice and throught 2 pregnancies where with the first I gained 85 pounds due to toxemia (pre eclampsia). He says he never saw me as overweight because he just saw "me". He is thrilled with my getting banded and is very supportive. He does not have a weight problem and has the build of a fire man. He is also drop dead gorgeous. He is Puerto Rican and looks like a cross between Derrick Jetter and some other baseball player named Alexandro Sanchez or something like that. I would never leave him!!!! The funny thing is he is trying to lose weight now too! I tell him he does not need to but he is trying to lose 15 pound!

I am just wondering how I hear some people say they get major restriction after 2 weeks, does that mean we will get even tighter in 2 weeks?

I seem to have restriction again. I can feel the liquids I drink gurgle down like they did before. I had some soup on the way home from Mexico at Chili's, tortilla soup, had some of the Beans, corn and tomato and chewed really well. I did need to stop at about 1/2 cup or so and had discomfort like I hadn't felt before and knew it was time to stop. I was, prior to the fill, eating anything I wanted as much as I wanted, even in the am,stopped chewing well and even started to drink with meals, being a very bad girl. I need to go back to the rules because I don't want to pb or slime. He asked me how I was eating and I told him I could eat anything with no problem and he said "not anymore". He said I'd have restriction like after surgery. I am glad they use fleuro and can see how much to put in. I had to keep drinking the barium while he flushed my port out with saline and was asking me if I felt it. Then he took it all out, made sure her removed all the air, and filled me. He said I could come back in 8 weeks if I needed to, if I found my eating was increasing. The cool thing is my scale is right on the money with their scale. Let me know how your fill goes.
