    Why 2 Weeks???

    I myself, was just wondering the same thing. Does anyone else find they didn't get restriction until 2 weeks later? I am 8 days from my first fill and feel a bit more restriction today than I did. I am eating less, and staying full I also noticed I go a stomach ache a couple of times. Is that restriction?

    Bandiva!!! I have missed you! My grandma has ALS (Lou Gerrigs Diesese). It has been a long hard road, 7 years going down hill. My mother has taken care of her at home all those years. It started getting too hard and we had to put her in a convalescent home. But we got nurses that would come to my moms house and we brought her back home. When they left her the respiratory therapist didn't get the machines going, she is on life support. She started turning blue and I had to call 911 twice! It was such a stressful day. I thought she was going to die for sure that day. She is stable now. It is such a horrible diesese. All your nerves die. She is completely paralyzed now. Thanks for asking Bandiva. How are you doing? I lost 3 pounds after my fill and I am feeling a little more restriction.

    I did, but when I got into the creamy Soups I almost PB'd when I drank water with it. That was the only time I felt like that. So, I drank before but not during or after. It will help too to learn it for when you add mushies and solids.

    January 2007 Bandsters Excerise Challenge

    I didn't feel any restriction in the beginning. Now, 9 days after I am feeling a little bit more restriction. Some people dont feel it for 2 weeks. I am eating a lot less, feel satisfied and stay full longer. I took my quickslim30 today and felt it helped a lot. It is supposed to aid in weight loss too and I really think it has for me. I also alternate my calories between low and high days, always keep it guessing. It really seems to get the weight coming off. I lost 3 pounds after my fill too. I also exercised 30 minutes on the elyptical today!!!! YEAH:clap2: Breakfast: 1 coffee with soymilk Lunch: 3 oz chicken sauteed with mushrooms, mozerella cheese and marinera sauce Snack: 15 almonds Dinner: 5 oz pork Liquids: 64 ounces of watered down crystal light Supplements: 1 tbsp. liquid Vitamin, 1 QuickSlim30 and 1 Biotin

    I took a bath after my incisions were 100% healed which I think was at about 3-4 weeks or so. Wow, you live in London? One of my life's dreams is to go to Europe and travel to all the spots and London is one of them! Do you have a treadmill? Maybe you can get one if it is too cold. I have an elyptical machine and love to have something at home for those days it is cold and rainy. I have just been lazy and have to get my butt moving!!!

    I have a little trick I do to get the weight moving. I alternate calories. One day I may eat 1000-1200 calories, then another day I have high calorie day always followed by a low calorie day. It keeps the body guessing. See ya on the exercise thread!!! I am just going to put my Ipod on, get my tennis shoes on and walk out the front door. See how far I get and where I go!

    What has helped me with the water is to do something called "water loading". I have a 32 ounce water bottle and fill it up in the morning. I sip on it as I start my morning. Before lunch, I drink the rest of it or refill and drink at leat 12 ounces before my meal. Then I don't feel the need to drink during my meal or after. I got this advice from a nurse on another site who is at goal.

    I think I have been doing the same and need to add more solids. I am like DUH, to myself, since it is what the nutrionist told me, so why am I barely getting that now? It has been 1 week since my fill and I lost 3 more pounds. I think I have a little more restriction, but can still eat anything no problem. But I can tell the portions are 1/3 less of what I used to eat. The January Thread has started an exercise challenge. If you'd like to join, come on by!!!

    I have been having cold cuts with Laughing Cow cheese light. I spread it out in the cold cut and roll it. I also have string cheese and almonds, hummus, tuna salad, deviled eggs. I just bought another cookbook and am going to look for new ideas. I did lose 3 pounds after my fill, so I may leave it. I think after 1 week, I feel a little more restriction, but can eat anything. I hear some say at 2 weeks they get more restriction too.

    Sounds normal to me. As long as you are not in pain or focing things down, I ate when I was hungry and sometimes it seemed like a lot. Congrats!!!

    January Bandsters???

    I have been eating some things I shouldnt like chocolate, but I think I am premenstual. I did lose 3 more pounds after not losing for over 2 weeks. So, I want to start exercising to facilitate the weight loss. I got a fill 1 week ago. I think I feel a little restriction the last couple of days as long as it is a solid protein. If it is a mushy I can have more so I need to make sure I am having more solid proteins. I am going to give it another week to kick in and them I am going to ask for another fill. He told me to wait 8 weeks, but see what happens. Today I had coffee with soymilk for breakfast and feel unconfortably bloated. I am not sure why. I am going to get in my water and see if I feel better so I can eat lunch. I had shrimp yesterday with potato for lunch and felt bloated like I do today and couldn't eat dinner. I am not sure if that is more restriction or what. I have heard more restriction kicks in in about a week or two. But it just feels like a stomach ache.

    My goal is to do some form of exercise at least once a day. I have been very lazy and get more tired everday. I have no excuse! I have a membership to the gym and it is on they way to my kids school. I used to go after I picked them up or before I picked them up. I also have any elyptical machine at home. I have my Ipod ready with all the best workout songs, so this thread is what I needed to get me going!!! I also weighed myself yesterday and lost 3 pounds!!!!!! I had maintained for 2 and 1/2 weeks. So, I am going to make myself choose one of the following a day: 1. Workout at the gym 2. Do the walking trail by my kids school 3. Do the elyptical at home 4. Walk around my block I will post later to let you know what I chose to do today.

    Just checking in! I feel a little more restriction with my dinner, then again I had chicken. I notice my early meals are mushy so maybe I need more solids. I will just hope I get more restriction like I hear some say kicks in week 2. Otherwise, I am going to ask for another fill!!! He said 8 weeks when i could eat, but if I don't feel it, I am going to start bugging!!! How is everyone? Why doesn't anyone post anymore? Just a few of us left. Are you guys just lurking???? HEHEHE
