I have been overweight my whole life and finally after debating for about a year decided to have the lap band. I have lots of friends and family who had been having the gastric bypass and when I heard of this alternative I was excitied...So I just had my band placed on July 2nd and in 1 week lost 21 lbs. Hopefully I will continue to lose and I am so excited to start my life out again.
