Hi Folks, My name is Jay and I was banded November 18th 2011 by Dr. Steven Miller in Montreal. One of the things I feel is lacking in Montreal is a support group for fellow bandsters. I would like to start one. My thoughts are we could start with a monthly group and if it is successful move to bi-weekly. Hello LAP-BAND® forum. This is my first post here on this site. I am new to this world and can say after reading so many posts I am excited to be a part of such a supportive community. I am 34yrs old and struggled with my weight all of my life. I have began my pre-op diet yesterday of 5 boost shakes per day and 1 cup of vegatables with plenty of Water. My surgery date Nov 18th is with Dr. Steven Miller in Montreal. I am both nervous and excited. Any tips on how to make it through the pre-op diet without going a little nutty? HW=419lbs CW=402lbs SW=??? GW=225lbs

Hello Folks, I am in pre-op diet hell. Today is day 4 and I have not cheated once. However All I can think of is food!!! My Dr. has me on a pre-op diet of 5 diabetic(even though I am not diabetic) Boost shakes and 1 cup of veggies until my surgery Nov 18th I plead for some tips/hints on how to stop thinking of food or alternatives to make this easier

Wow that makes me feel good that I work from home. I decided I am avoiding all halloween events so I won't tempt/torture myself. Stay strong April!

I am allowed the sugar free jello. It has been the saving grace. I feel much better this morning. We will see how today goes. I guess one day at a time is the best way to handle this. I wish I could have the cottage cheese though:-(
