Hi everybody, hope everyone is doing well, has anyone had a slipped band before? i have got a pain in my chest its like trapped air wanting to come out but can't and i fell no restriction even i have 7.5mls in my band! but the pain is very uncomfortable.

hi everybody,hope everyone enjoying the long bank holidays. i went for a fill last week i now have 7.5ml in my band and haven't lost any weight for 7months!! i have lost 55 Lbs since my surgery in 2010 but that's it im not losing anymore even with my last fill.i have already had an x rays and everything is fine. im always hungry i feel hungry every 2 hours,and when i had a fill up to 8ml then i suffer acid re flux so i had to take 0.5ml out. which mean 7.5 mls is the max i can have.Im getting very depress im just not losing weight.is anybody experiencing the same thing? im quite short 4 11 so i really need to get down to at least 120-100lbs.

Hi freckles welcome back ,you too going through that acid reflux ,i was going through a hard time last time i couldnt sleep at all mucus was comming through my nose it was terrible but then i had an unfill i now have 7mls. i can eat everything so its purely self control now i lost 6lbs just being on liquid diet for 4 weeks now as i cannot have anymore fill. well i hope it gets better for you or else its best to have an unfil.

Hello everybody hope all is doing well! congrats Husk on getting banded! I had my 6th fill last week so i got 8mls in my band when i finally got restiction i wasn't able to eat much very small portion like half aslice of bread, matchbox size piece of chicken...but i was feeling very full with a slime fast shake for hours,i wold have one at lunch 1pm then i wouldnt eat anything untill 5.30pm. but today after a week i am goin back for an unfill as i am suffering from acid reflux. as soon as i put my head on the pillow the acid in my stomach will come up,i choke few time in a night its a very bad feeling, i will have to have that 0.5mls remove which will not give me the restriction!! anyways i thought i shared my experience with you guy. have a nice day all.

Thanks Mummies, I dont have much restriction i can still eat fairly big portion and i also suffer from acid reflux. i will speak to freddy and see what he says. take care.

Hi Freckles, hope you are ok yes its been a long time haven't seen you on here!! i am having a similar problem like you had when i sleep fluid and flems rise through my mouth so i am going for an unfill this months despite im not fully restricted.

Thank you SaraP , Despite not having much restriction i have lost a total of 44llbs a year in August since ive had the band i was hopping o lose a bit more without anymore fill.i will grt in touch wth frederick today. goodluck with your leak fix, SaraP can i ask you if you are paying againg for this surgery?

Hi everybody, i will be very happy if anybody can advice me, i have 7.5mls in my band and my last fill was in may i only lose weight the week i have the fill 1to 2 kg but otherwise i dont lose any it stop! i am not sure what is restriction, at times i can eat a lot and sometime i cant eat anything. frederick told me that after my last fill i wouldnt need anymore as i will be losing the weight at least 1 to 2 llbs a week. but as i havent had fill for the month of june and july i haven't lost any weight that month. i am not sure what to do i am planning to go for another fill in july so that i can lose 1 or 2llbs again but do i need a fill every month to lose weight! if anybody has any advice or have experience this before please let me know.

SaraP i have the same problem as well, if i eat fast it get stuck then i have to vomit it but then i can go back and eat the rest of my food without problem. I am still worried i don't think i have restriction as well.

Hi everyone hope you doing well. I know that's a bit of a silly question but how do you know when you have restriction! i only lose 2 to 3 pounds as soon as i have a fill during the liquid days then as soon as i go back on solid the weight don't come off i have had 5 fills if this is the only way then i must have a fill every month and probably my band will be completed fill by then as i already have 7.5 in 10ml band. I am still able to eat 2 slice of toast 6 to 7 tablespoon of rice and Pasta,chicken leg without any problem the only time i have problem is if i eat to fast. Those that have restriction can you please tell me when will i know i'm restricted. I spoke to frederick but he forgot to check how much i have in, he was more concern about me having a breast sugery when i am perfectly happy with my breast, i don't have a massive breast not even sagging one, out of the blue he said oh you will need a breast reduction!! no way i'm going under the knief again unless i have to and theres nothing wrong with my breast.I must say i was quite upset when i got home that day.

hi saraP can i ask you how much fill have you got in your band? as i have 7.5ml and i don't have any restriction so i am a bit worried that i might have a leak as well! thanks

Hi eveyone. I now have 7.5ml in my band but not much weight lost and still no restriction can eat everything!!!

Hello everybody, I went for my 5th fill i now have 7.5 mls in my band but frederick still think that i have not reached max restriction as i told him that i can still eat bread, rice and Pasta so we will see how it go and then might go for another fill. but as i have been told by a few bansters that i met at the surgery that it will happen where the weight will start coming off . well done fatty patty I was a size 22/24 I am now 20 its a good feling. claire only 20lbs to go!! well done. yep me too back to work tomorrow after 2weeks easter holiday and an extra week off due to hubby fractured his ankle. take care

Hi everybody, hope everyone is doing well. Thanks for all your support Freckles, slinky and mummies and of course all of us we support each other. When I thought I was doing well I have developed heel spur where I have terrible pain I can hardly walk therefore I had to stop going to the gym I have ordered myself support insoles I just hope it will ease the pain. Well good luck everybody with their weight lost.

Hi everybody, Finally I can rest for the next two weeks and enjoy the lovely weather. Had a bad tooth ache last week had to seek dental emergency was in so much pain but the dentist sorted it out the same day as I was unable to eat my band got tighter and yes I lost an extra 4llbs and I am still feeling tight I had to cancel my fill !! I am at the gym 4 times a week and can feel my body toning, haven’t got any loose skin or saggy breast the exercise are really helping to tone up! Well I have now lost a total of 38llbs since my surgery last August I hope to lose at least another 20llbs by this August. It is a slow journey but I am going in the right direction. Good luck everyone .
