Like everyone else, I have tried, what seems like, every diet that is out there! 2 years ago, before my 20th high school reunion, I consulted with Dr. Morton's office for lap band surgery. Well- one of the requirements with my insurance, BCBS, was to lose 20% of my body weight- wellllll- when I did that it dropped my below the BMI to qualify for surgery. So, I did not have surgery. This year I decided was the year for me and I bit the bullet and self-payed for the surgery. Well actually- I was scheduled for knee surgery the same day that I had scheduled my Lap Band procedure-- I cancelled my knee surgery because I thought it would be better to rehab on 150 pounds instead of 233 pounds. I am so sick and tired of being tired, no energy, knees hurting, hip hurting and being on the couch while my husband is out in the yard playing with the kids!! Here's to a new me and mother for my kids!!
