How do you stop/prevent binge eating?
kellyodoran replied to spoiltmom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree with you Jack espcially on number 2.......I find if I keep to the dense protien, I don't even think about snacking! And although tuna has tons of protien I think it lacks in density! Think I'm switching to albacore! hahahaha -

Well how old are you for one thing? Do you have any food allergies? I also have not lost one single pound in 3 months, but have dropped 3 sizes.....so in essence, don't always go off the scale! My body has shifted sooooooo much in the last 3 months that even everyone around me is saying "dang girl you are looking good!" Even though 3 months ago I was at the same weight ! -

Hi Tylee...I guess I am doing O.K.......but I need to step it up a notch! I only have 40 pounds to go and have to really focus on what I am doing. I could be comfortable at my current weight, it is easy! I can eat and drink what I want. But that isn't enough for me, so I am going to have to really buckle down, re-read the rules......protein, protein, protein! Exercise, exercise, exercise! Count those darn calories.....every bite!:Banane04: Well I am off to exercise.....just thought I'd pop in and say Hi! -

Well everyone...just stopping by and checking in. Belive it or not I am now in a size 13 misses or a 15 junior! WOW it has been one hell of a long time since I could fit into a Jr. size! No more shopping in the plus sizes for me..I am now just a normal shopper! I can't describe how good it feels. Although my weightloss has slowed down, my body is still changing. I went from a 16 plus size to a 13 in about two months even though I have only lost three pounds. So that right there should tell you not to regaurd that scale so much...but better yet just keep on exercising. For the most part, I don't feel like I am dieting....although I can't wait now to get to onederland so I will probably step it up a notch....but I do keep my journal and write everything down that I eat and drink. I am over half way and only have 40 more pounds to go! Hard work? A little, but overall the good health I am feeling Makes it all worth while :Banane04: Take care everyone and keep up the good work! -

kellyodoran replied to Wheeler5051's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Very well put, I think to keep from going crazy, you really do need variety! Most recipes have healthier versions! Remember moderation is the key! -

Favorite recipe sites?
kellyodoran replied to jamelyn1979's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I love allrecipes.com, and most of the recipes do have nut. value also I love allcooks.com. Sometimes when I find a recipe I like that isn't all that skinny, I search the net for maybe lower fat versions of it! There are probably a dozen diff ways to fix the same dish! I am always trying new recipies! Pooh on same ol' stuff week in and week out! -
summer134 could you show us what your menus looked like? Maybe we will all benifit from them!!!! And congradulations! Kelly

I wouldn't worry soo much about the skinny girl, as I would the sippy girl.....you really shouldn't drink to push your food down so you can eat more....self-sabotage (and we all I am sure at one point or another in life have done to ourselfs) Think about that cruise the next time you want to push the food down...I know you can do it! -

Hey all, just stopped by to catch up on all the posts I have missed, and drop a quick line. I just graduated from my cna class, and will be taking state exam on the 14th of this month. I did have a slip and fall and really hurt my back, so my weight loss slowed down, because I could not exercise. I am better now, and have been jogging an hour a day! I feel great, and am really pushing myself! I can honestly say, that the key to this whole thing is EXERCISE! I still journal, and write everything down, my calories per day are anywhere from 1200 to 1800...some days less! Well gotta run(hahaha) Kelly -

What is bariatric bootcamp? WTG Tylee........ Sooo, what have you been doing differently? WTG! I am almost there too, lost 53....59 to go! I can't remember the last time I felt this good! I also started school to become a CNA, and believe it or not the scrubs are large....not x-large, and not xx-large....just plain ol large....Yesterday I dropped off some books at my sister's house, and she almost didn't recognize (only been 3 weeks)....but she couldn't believe how good I looked! Well just wanted to check in with all the Aug Rushers, glad to see that everyone is doing o.k.! Well gotta go study and exercise...two things that are hard to do, but great for getting results! -

Average Amount for Restriction in a 14cc band?
kellyodoran replied to Dave_NW's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have a 14cc band also, and am at my sweet-spot. i can't tell you exactly how much is in there, but it was done in three fills! The reason i can't tell you exactly how much, is because when he's putting the fill in, I'm drinking water while he puts the fill in, and once the water stops, he then pulls the saline out until you feel the water go down...Pretty Cool, I was lucky to be at my sweet spot at 3 months out! -
Janet, yes I remember Chris Nevins.....How about a Mike Smith that worked for J.F. Davidsons? I used to work for them too... I remember when the desert was fairly small, and kinda deserted in the summers.....I also saw the plans for the Palm Desert Mall before it was even started...
