I am a huge pickle person, maybe if you peel it quick whip in the blender and wa-la! mushy pickle! Wow sometimes I amaze myself....think I'll go try it right now! -
Hello fellow August Rushers, Well, I went for my first checkup today. The Dr. told me to "keep on keeping on", for four more weeks. So I'm going to have to be very creative with coming up with some low carb soups. Tonight I'm going to try tallapia, cooked, blended, with some tarter sauce, and some heavy cream.Season and searve! I can't live on eggs and cottage cheese alone. I have been losing a couple pounds a day, so the low carbing is working.Yeah I lost 50 pounds my last diet, fast! So I know I'm going to be dumping pounds. I want to loose 20 pounds, thats 5 pounds a week before I see the "Doc" again. Oh well thats all for now! Peace Out Kelly:wink: P.S. any recipe ideas (low-carb)out there?

AMARIS......how much did you loose on your pre-op diet? Just curious.

Hello all you August Rushers, congrats. to all who were banded this week. I am now 8 days post-op, and things are moving right along. I keep dropping the pounds, every day or every other day I drop a pound....AND IM LOVING IT! I decided to name my band "Chauncy" I don't know I just like that name. I decided a few days ago, that I would focus more on low carbing it! Man, you want to peel those pounds off? Just low carb it. I really don't have a lot of options but the result on the scale more than makes up for it:thumbup:. I have been having my protien drink (81 grams) and 9 carbs for breakfast....then I have 2 scrambled eggs with mayo and mustard (blended).....then I have cottege cheese with mayo (blended) filling, and all for 20 carbs. I haven't been snacking between, because of all the protien:blush:. Well all for now! Peace out Kelly

Good luck to all surgery people! I am one week banded, and am starting to get really hungry. I know the Dr. put a little fill in on the operating table, but I can feel those demons reawakening. I liked it so much after surgery, I wasn't hungry at all! That felt good. The last two days I have been shoveling more and more into my mouth. Well today I'm going to try to be really good, 800 calories or so. The last two days I was up close to 2,000 cal.. Maybe try to have more broth and such. I go to the Dr. on Thurs. so will see what he has to say. Peace out Kelly:frown:

Well I suppose you could, but lime juice has a lot of sugar in it. Especially rosa's lime juice what they would use in a bar. You know, it is only one night, you might as well just party down! Double up on the good after!
-
My first appt. is on thurs. and I am starting to get really hungry. my calories have gone from 600 day one to almost two-thousand today! I hate it!

You all ready got a fill?
-
How many fills did you have to get there, and how much at each fill?

How many pounds lost = a dress size?
kellyodoran replied to Ocnlvr's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
It seems like you have to gain 25 pounds to go to a larger size, but you have to loose 50 to go down a size! -

Hey girls, If you are dehydrated try Powerade Zero, It is the same as gatorade, only zero calories,,,,,,after all we do want to keep the prize at the end of the line in mind, right? peace out Kelly -
Well, because I like to have my cocktails, and I was a low carber, I like vodka and powerade Zero lime. It has no carbs at all. I am only newly banded, but I will be following a low carb regiem once I get through my phases. Also most bars and restraunts don't mind if you bring your own mix! Just go and nicely talk to the bartender, and they will understand! peace out Kelly:biggrin:

Well all my fellow rushers, I had my first "incidint" this morning! I allways start the day with my protien (get it out of the way)..... Then I take my vitamins (get that out of the way too). Well I had been taking one tiny multi, and two calcium. I forgot and took a big multi. So I took two one right after the other and boyah! I got stuck! Started to burp alot and then the next thing you know i.....slimmed! WOW! What an experience, just a whole bunch of clear stuff! My pills did not come up or anything! Other than that, all has been well in my neck 'o' the woods. Peace out Kelly:tongue:

I too was banded Aug. 3, but I have been slurping down creamy Soups, low fat yogurt, pop-cicles, pudding, and soupy scrambled eggs.

I read this one post and it has been my inspiration!Once you are banded, and you will be, when your fill is perfect, your life will change. You will notice how radically different, and silent, all those food demons in your head will be. I cried when I first noticed the magic fill. Everyone in my head just shut up. The silence was beautiful. I didn't NEED cheesesteaks, I wasn't STARRRVING for anything. I was clearheaded for the first time in my entire life. When I ate those foods by conscious choice, it didn't always taste perfect and wonderful. Sometimes, it was a disappointment and not worth the calories. Yes, even of my favorite cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory Once food wasn't constanly perfect, I was able to get picky...do I want to eat the pizza and feel the uncomfortable passing through the band? Bleh...no pain for me today thx. I would actually made GOOD CHOICES! omg. Me, fat Kate, choosing a salad over chicken parm?? I feel normal when I cn do that. It's not all the time, but it happens more often than not. I am quoting Kate Eryn..from : did you cheat pre op liquid diet-50173 THANK YOU KATE
