    August Rush in bandland!

Although I am doing quite well as far as weight loss, I do think I am ready for another fill. I go in ten days, and by then more than ready. I see my food amount very slowly move up. I am at about 1200 calories, and that is what I had crept up to before my first fill. I still can eat anything, as long as I don't get into to big of a hurry, and chew, chew, chew! Also make sure the bites are tiny!:smile2: well seems like we are all doing pretty good:lol: All for now Kelly:wink:

That's interesting, because that is exactly what I have lost.....and we were banded almost exactly at the same time!

    August Rush in bandland!

msdv I too decided that I'm gonna have to modify my diet...I can't just eat meat like I did before. I like you am going to have to find a happy medium.....I can substitute porkskins for bread or eat those little 100 calorie bread rounds. All I know is by the time I get my second fill in two weeks, I will be a lot happier! Haven't decided to count calories, and ignore carbs or combine them...nneeeedddd tttiiimmmeee tttoooo ttthhhhiiiinnnkkk!

    August Rush in bandland!

Have any of you noticed that we are all losing weight at about the same rate reguardless of what we are eating or doing.......like we have all gone through the fast dump of pounds around surgery time, the slight gain, then that damn plateau. But oh the hunger! I guess this just ain't gonna happen overnight or as fast as we would want. I can't wait to get me second fill in two weeks and three days! Well, all for now Kelly:wink:

    August Rush in bandland!

Well, I have been officially on induction (phase 1) of Atkins for 5 days. I lost that stubborn 5 pound gain that I had, plus another 1 pound. I chose to ignore the 5 pound gain on my ticker, until I got it back down:redface:......but in the last 10 days i have lost 6 pounds, and have not been hungry. I know I feel better mentally and physically. I just think carbs are poison for me. I also increased my walking time (only by 5 more minutes) but it is still an increase:wink:! I go to get my next fill in 2 weeks and 4 days, and I am excited about that......hoping that it will help my appetite that much more. If any of you are interested you can get 3 Atkin bars and a handy carb counter book for free......they are yummy! Go to Atkins.com and it takes like two days to get them. All for now, ~Kelly~

    Inches V.S. Pounds

That is always good stuff for future referance!
  11. Well I too hit a plateau for two weeks at just about the same time as you.....I decided to low carb it,when I eat meat it just seems to satisfy me for many more hours than if I did not. I did feel a little restriction after my first fill of 2 cc's in a 10cc band. I have two weeks till my next fill ( I can't wait) and I expect to eat much less and have it last even longer. Be patient, you will wake up here in the next few days and bam you will be down a couple of pounds. ~Kelly~
  12. How many fills have you had?

    How many eggs?

Now that I have my first fill, and I'm on solids, since I'm low carbing I get to eat (for breakfast) small hamburger patty, slice of cheddar, and a fried egg...yum, yum keeps me full till dinner. 59 grams of protein and 2 carbs:cool:! ~Kelly~

    addicted to food network...

Before I got my first fill, all I did was watch shows about food! I guess because food was on my mind every waking hour! My mom would say why are you watching all those food shows....I just said "wishfull watching" ~Kelly~

    August Rush in bandland!

That is why I am low carbing, because it isn't about calories. You get to eat a whole lot more than you would if you were counting calories. Plus since it is all about protein, you stay satiated longer. When I did this before, the weight came off at a more regular pace. ~Kelly~

    Losing friends

Kat, very sound advice you gave, shows some introspection on your part. ~Kelly~
  20. This morning I had a small hamburger patty, fried egg and melted cheddar with lots of mustard. It was the bomb, 59 grams of protein and only 2 carbs! I won't worry about anything till dinner (chx @ 59 grams of prot.) and no carbs! A good day it will be:rolleyes: ~Kelly~

    Eating too soon?

Before I got my fill, when I was on mushies, I could easily eat that in the time frame you did. I was hungry every two hours, till I got my fill. Happy with my fill, Kelly:thumbup:
  24. kellyodoran

    Carbonation!!!!!!!!!!!

After my surgery I could ONLY use a straw ,per my Dr.s orders! Go figgur' : )

    August Rush in bandland!

Ladies, I too gained five pounds when I moved up to mushies, and it stayed there for two weeks! Yesterday I was down three of those pounds, and this morning the rest. I have had one fill, with plesant results. Now that I'm back on solids I eat a piece of chicken in the morning, I am full all day. Thank God I don't have to eat mushies anymore, they just don't keep you full very long. Hang in there, Kelly:redface:
